Best tune for 2020 Ford Explorer ST

PBD's New device is called the UCal. It is the EXACT same piece of hardware that Livernois calls the MyCal. It is a proprietary device, and can only be used with PBD tunes. If you want to possibly get tunes from other sources, the RTD is the way to go! Much better logging, and can use tunes...

    ST - Storm Trooper Build

All good. Your wording did not come across that way. It implied(At Least the way I read it) that his gains were because he was not compliant. Sorry for jumping. There has been some misinformation floating around, and I might have been a little over aggressive on it! We both agree he is the...

    ST - Storm Trooper Build

What? You have no idea what you are talking about. ZFG’s gains over the others have NOTHING to do with pushing the emissions envelope. You are just pulling stuff out of thin air. Only time will tell whether adjusting tunes to be more compliant will lower the power. Trust me, things are in the...

    Oil catch cans

There is no dealer in their right mind that would deny warranty with a Catch Can. That being said, the JLT can be removed in less time than it takes to install. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Oil catch cans

They have done nothing to the ST to prevent the valves getting deposits. The 3.0TT EB only has DI(Direct Injection). It is the 2nd Gen 3.5TT EB that has both Port and Direct Injection which helps to clean the intake valves. The UPR is great, but for over double of the price of the JLT, only...

    WIFI reception?

Just goto the Owner Site and use USB or CyanLabs and use USB. SO much quicker and easier. Less likely to get hung up. Plus Ford releases updates to the Owners site WAY before over the air.

    HPTuners RTD issue

RTD and MPVI2 are the exact same hardware. RTD just isn't licensed to open the files in Editor. It happens periodically. The time between turning off the car and turning on the car is what matters. Most people turn it back on too quick.

    Fuel octane?

Difference in HP on Stock tuning between 87 and 93 is between 10-15 HP. Also E10 93 is better than EO 93 for HP. The 88 Octane flex is better for power(slightly) than 87, but slightly worse on MPG. 93(E10) is the best on power and MPG. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

They have generic sensor kits. There are a couple ST’s out there that have installed them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Tuning for dummies

In the Winter in Cooler states, 60ish is normal. In warmer it doesn’t typically change. It is good to test regularly if you are running EXX tunes. Like @UNBROKEN my local station typically runs around 83, seen as low as 72, and as high as 87. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

    Tuning for dummies

Order of Power on the ST most to least on different fuels using ZFG as the tuning source: E85(Aftermarket Pump like XDI) - otherwise Stock E50(Stock Pump) - slightly slower 0-60, maybe a 10th, but several 10ths in the 1/4, due to cooling. E85(Stock Pump) - few 100ths faster than a 93 tune 0-60...

    Explorer ST mud guard thread

Price was within a few bucks when I was looking. I know WeatherTech is an American Company that manufactures its products in the US. I could also get them quicker. Bought straight from WeatherTech, was actually cheaper than Amazon and other resellers at the time. Had them in days. Sent from my...

    Installed Livernois Tune

LMS released a new revision to their tunes for the ST, they are calling it Stage 4. They used to call them Versions. Stage 4 is confusing... it should be V4. Here is the YT Video discussing it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
