How about a cheap data plan with a provider that allows you to create a hotspot with your phone? My Google Fi plan allows this although I’ve rarely needed it.

As I’m sure you’ve understood, there’s nothing to “look into”. It would be covered by the recall, not the warranty.

The recall (other than for Police Interceptors) is a software update ONLY. They will repair a broken bolt under the recall, ONE TIME ONLY.
