ZFG: I guess I'm a fanboy now too

I'm on the wagon for sure. I'm wondering though, what changes did you guys request of Adam? I dont have enough wheel time yet to notice anything in particular but just curious.

ZFG: I guess I'm a fanboy now too

Have to admit, i was skeptical with some of the fanboys on here that seem so head over heels for ZFG. After roughly 12-15 tune revisions with 5-Star, this initial baseline tune from Adam is leaps and bounds ahead of them. When I initially bought the tune, ZFG charged me $15 for "shipping"...

BEWARE: Driveshaft kaboom from emergency auto-brake

Update: got truck back today & all is well. The main bolt sheered off and damaged pumpkin housing cover, left rear axle halfshaft & rear diff. All replaced under warranty ($3-4k) but Ford’s best guess as to the cause was a potentially loose main housing bolt that weakened over time & sheered due...

BEWARE: Driveshaft kaboom from emergency auto-brake

It sounds like the pads are semi stuck on the rotor when driving at very low speed but then as soon as you accelerate it sounds like a three cylinder rice burner with a Folgers can on the back

BEWARE: Driveshaft kaboom from emergency auto-brake

Listen to how she sounds on the way home. Like a bicycle with index cards in the spokes as soon as you accelerate. “Somethings wrong” haha

BEWARE: Driveshaft kaboom from emergency auto-brake

So a friend backed my ST w/trailer into the water so i could load my little boat the other day, but he didnt turn off the parking sensors. Since he unplugged the trailer wires, the truck auto-stopped 3x on its way in to the water. Once we pulled the boat out, i made one turn and kaboom. Grade 8...

Best tune for 2020 Ford Explorer ST

I'll show 5star a little bit of love here. They are very responsive and customer svc is excellent. Their 93 perf tune is very very fast and I am very happy with it. Compared to stock, it is night & day. However, there have been a few minor hiccups that I've been trying to iron out to no avail...

    5Star 93 Perf Tune: 400+ mile review

So I'm still having 5-star tweak some of their tunes so I can get the most bang for my buck. Interestingly, I've noticed a small tranny slip/blip consistently in 3rd gear during slow, daily driving (never at WOT). I've tried to have them tune it out and the most recent tune had the same little...

    New Explorer ST on off-road

Talk about a buzz kill! While it will never be a Rubicon, I find mine does surprisingly well off road despite lack of low range and locking diffs or limited slip. I actually think it does better than my 2010 Wrangler unlimited sahara which also lacked locking diffs & limited slip. Sure it might...

    New Explorer ST on off-road

Bout time somebody posted up some offroad pics! I thought I was the only one who was adventuring off the beaten path in our STs. Glad to see everything went well esp. with those stock rubber bands!

    Stumble/rough idle

I get this every once in a while. Usually when engine is warm after driving quite a bit and stopped at a red light. Almost feels like a mild cam haha

Blow Off Valve for the ST

Contact Ron at Whoosh and ask him. No hex

Blow Off Valve for the ST

the Whoosh does not use hex screws (ask me how I know). Also, neither spacer is very easily removed due to access issues and how difficult it was to thread the screws in to plastic. I never intend to take mine out as Im sure it wont go back in nearly as well the 2nd time.
