The Not So Rapid Red Project

Finally got around to installing the UPR catch can. It took some trial and error on the braided sleeve and shrink tubing to get the right sizes.

UPR catch can and orange fitting solution.

I noticed the UPR video had a blue connector but the instructions talk about the orange so I was a little confused and it took me a while to think of coming to the forum for an answer to that stupid connector, but you came through again! Thanks for the tip, my life just got a little easier, lol.

FENG - Fake Engine Noise Generator DELETE

Yeah, the whole idea, I thought, of this forum was to share ideas and experiences with other people. If someone asks me a question of how I did something I'll take the time to answer the question, not that I am a Forscan expert (this is the first time I've used it) or an expert mechanic. It...

FENG - Fake Engine Noise Generator DELETE

I can't find that ENC setting in Forscan but, while playing around with it I did find a way to add climate control to the touchscreen. It was in the APIM Module and was called Climate Domain. It is disabled so I enabled it to see what it did and I like it, it's more like earlier Fords although...

The Not So Rapid Red Project

There are some videos on Youtube about this if you decide to pursue it.

The Not So Rapid Red Project

Thank you. The red stitching cost me whatever a box of 12 red Sharpies cost, lol and a few hours of patience. It's a very tedious process but the look is worth it, I think. You'll also want to get some acetone or finger nail polish because you're going to end up getting some red on the leather...

The Not So Rapid Red Project

I got the Weather Tech emblems here - Gel Domed Emblem Sticker Decal Insert Replacements fits Ford / | Etsy Just scroll through the pictures until you find the ST logo. And yes, I just used red Sharpies for the stitching. It's tedious as hell and you'll want some finger nail polish or acetone to...

FENG - Fake Engine Noise Generator DELETE

If it changed anything else it’s so minor that I haven’t noticed it. The radio sounds the same, I haven’t noticed any change in chimes but I pretty much tune those out anyway so I probably wouldn’t pick up on that. Mine is a 20 so I guess it’s possible they changed something for 21’s.

FENG - Fake Engine Noise Generator DELETE

I haven't yet but it is something I want to look into.

FENG - Fake Engine Noise Generator DELETE

I wish I could help you but this is the first time I've ever used Forscan and I considered myself lucky that I found that and it worked. Not sure why it wouldn't work for you. It sounds like you're maybe getting disconnected or something if the procedure is being "interrupted".

FENG - Fake Engine Noise Generator DELETE

I did the FENG delete this way. It's kind of nice to be able to hear the engine working now. Another month and I should have my Thermal exhaust so that will change things for sure.

    JACK POINTS

It is pretty amazing that the service shops at the dealers that sell these vehicles seems to be doing the most damage to them when lifting. Makes me nervous about my first trip in which is coming up soon. I'll definitely be having a conversation with them before I hand over the keys.

    Forscan

Thanks, so I’ve been using the easy mode and didn’t even realize it lol. It’s the first time I’ve ever used Forscan so I don’t feel bad not knowing.

The Not So Rapid Red Project

Yippee, while I, like anyone else doing mods, wait for back ordered parts, I have something to do this weekend. I just cleaned my engine so I may not even get my hands dirty on this job, lol.
