    Cold Air Intake status?

I was running their 3d printed prototype until they attempted mess with one of the fittings and broke it. I am back to stock until they get either the pre production unit ready for test fitting or the production unit. I'm waiting to hear back from their intake section. My ST is actually there...

    Cold Air Intake status?

I'll definitely make sure to let everyone know when I go in for test fitting of either the pre-production model or actual production model. I just know they're super busy and if I hear anything about the release, I will absolutely let you guys know.

    Cold Air Intake status?

I'm fairly confident that it didn't happen because they haven't even test fitted a pre-production unit yet, let alone a production one.

    New hpfp and injector option!

I will find out for you. I've been dealing with their intake and exhaust teams mostly and met with suspension and the guys who develop their intercoolers. I'll talk to the intake guy and find out for you.

    New hpfp and injector option!

Thank you so much Adam. I have to keep my Explorer as stock as possible for the time being because I've been letting aFe use it as a test bed and they need it stock. When the time comes, I will be happy with about 500 to the wheels. Hopefully that will help with the longevity as well.

    New hpfp and injector option!

With all the potential for this new power, what seems to be the magic number where the flywheel starts to let go? You are a true artist in your field Adam. I cannot wait to come to you for a tune.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

That was my biggest thing with them, making sure there was no drone. It doesn't drone, but that is the issue I think. If they try to push it any further, they may run into a drone issue. The exhaust is definitely noticeable from 70 on up while cruising, but it's not a true harmonic drone that...

I totally agree about the staggered tips. I will mention about your thoughts on the tips.

This is the prototype, so they're already going to bring the tips in an inch to an inch and a half. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk

Here's a quick peak at their exhaust.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Ok..... so I totally wasn't thinking when I had the prototype intake from aFe. I just picked up the Explorer from aFe with their prototype cat back. Anyone in SoCal and near the IE is welcome to hit me up to check it out. I'll be running it for about the next week to give them as much feedback...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Just as an update for you guys, aFe is working on the exhaust as we speak and I confirmed that they have gone up in diameter to 2.5" and they are using their own flex pipes so that it will in fact be a true cat back exhaust. I'm looking forward to hearing how it sounds!

What they told me is that they are looking to do a system from the downpipe. I'm trying to convince them to create downpipes as well, but I don't think they'll tackling those at the moment.

Hahahahaha........ all companies are having so much supply issues right now, it's insane. Hopefully they'll be able to get them out a lot sooner than that.

So...... I just dropped her off at aFe so that they can start prototyping an exhaust system for our beasts. Fingers crossed it will be better than Thermals, which is a fantastic system and currently the best in my opinion.

    aFe

On another note, my Explorer is back in at aFe so they can mess around with an exhaust system for it. I'm excited to see what they come up with. Also...... their suspension department is currently working on a strut tower brace and if I'm not mistaken, front and rear sway bars.

    aFe

I apologize for not getting a clip up here. Unfortunately the prototype cracked when they were checking fittings I'm back to stock now. To be completely honest, there really is no sound difference because it's an enclosed system. The biggest issue that they told was the heat that gets generated...

    AFE CAI pre-orders

Hey guys, I was the one who had the prototype, but unfortunately because it was 3D printed when they were checking one of the fittings, it cracked, so I'm back to stock now and in the same boat of having to wait for the actual kit to come out. If I get any word on release, I'll make sure to let...

    Cold Air Intake status?

Nothing is for certain, but the guys in exhaust, the intercooler team and suspension all had time with the truck. My understanding is exhaust, not sure about down pipes, possibly intercooler and/or charge pipes and maybe swaybars to start.

    Coilovers anyone ?

I get that. I would definitely be interested in coilovers, it would just depend on who was making them. Thanks for the heads up though.
