    Rear end damage

See post #20. And 21 & 22. No idea. Just shared the picture I saw. My '20 has all four bolts so it's not an issue. Hopefully those that are inflicted by the change will find some relief.

    What came with your ST?

There was a clip in the glove box that is probably what is being referred to as the "holder". Ford tossed this two-cent piece mid-way through '20. Even though it is a separate part that screws in to a pre-molded hole, you can't buy it separately. According to the parts guy at my local...

    Rear end damage

Pic he posted. Very strange that Ford would have made the change to the single rear bolt, especially since the differential cover is still cast for the two.

    Rear Sway Bar Upgrade!!!

Good info on the end link flange angles. Had to look close to see they weren't perpendicular. Probably would have been worth Steeda noting that. In any case, this bar is a fantastic mod, even on stock springs. Nice of you to make the video even though it's not a real complicated job.

Autostop eliminator or Forscan it away

Why not just support a small business and buy the AutoStop Eliminator?? Sure it’s easy to shut the feature off manually, but it’s even easier to have off permanently. People are spending lots on springs, exhaust kits, wheels, etc., so another $100 for a great product is a no-brainer.

Steeda tower brace and sway bar. Need advice.

If I had more time, I would have at least cut off the last hole. Not a big deal since you won’t see it, but the ends are pretty close to the spring coils. Even if I do ultimately swap to the Steeda springs, I’ll still stay with the inner-most holes. If you do cut yours, be sure to put some sort...

Steeda tower brace and sway bar. Need advice.

The sway bar rocks. This is the third performance vehicle I’ve put a larger rear bar on to cut down on some of the under-steer. Not interested in pulling the stock springs, so the bar is a perfect complement to them. Went right to the stiffest/closest end link mounting hole and all is well...

    MRT hiflow H-Pipe installation?

That could be, but they are what was supplied by MRT. Again, I didn’t notice the tack-welds until after they were done, but neglected to ask if it was a normal procedure. In the event I never “upgrade” the exhaust, I won’t worry about it since it’s leak-free. If it does come off, just some extra...

    MRT hiflow H-Pipe installation?

No idea why - possibly just to ensure the strongest clamping force. Didn’t notice it until after the job was done. Figured if I ever remove it, I’ll have to hit the outer welds with my grinder to break them free. Maybe a slight annoyance, but probably not a big deal.

    MRT hiflow H-Pipe installation?

Funny you mention that: if I don't replace this with a Magnaflow kit, was thinking of visiting a local custom shop to see what they could do as far as new tail pipes (from the 'H' back) and maybe just two Magnaflow mufflers and tips. Otherwise, I could have easily left the stock resonator on...

    MRT hiflow H-Pipe installation?

If that question is for me, my exhaust is completely stock except for the H-pipe. Still has a nice little rumble, but not loud at all. I do like the sound of this since it's on par with the previous generation Sport, and since I have the electronic engine noise turned off, this sounds relatively...

    MRT hiflow H-Pipe installation?

When I was in Michigan picking mine up, I just decided to have MRT install it since it probably would have sat in the box for another month or so. They tack welded the brackets on after they were clamped down - not sure if that is standard for their guys or due to a loose fit. In any case, no...

Just saw your post before I saw this. It's a great piece and there is zero drone with just a slight increase in sound. For those of us not wanting to be obnoxious, it is perfect. If I didn't live in a condo, I might have just done their axle-back and left the resonator in place, but I didn't...

    MRT hiflow H-Pipe installation?

It's about a 10% increase in sound. Not even that noticeable, but not obnoxious either. It's actually more like the previous gen Sport model, which had a great sound. If you look on MRT's site, the pics they use are of my vehicle. The h-pipe is very high quality and something I'd recommend to...

    Magnaflow or Borla?

A simple H-pipe in place of the resonator is a perfect change. Nice little up-tick in rumble and zero drone. It's how it should have sounded from the factory. https://www.shopmrt.com/2020-Ford-Explorer-ST-MRT-HiFlow-H-Pipe-p/90r227.htm

    MRT axle back exhaust option?

Other than a custom X- or H-pipe to replace the resonator, MRT’s mid-pipe is a great choice for those of us wanting just a little change in sound without all the rasp of the aftermarket kits. Ordered one and picking it up next week when I’m in SE MI. Priced nicely as well...

    Cargo Cover/Shade

I have mine from my old '14 Sport and it works just fine. Not perfect at the back, but the front fits over the headrests and the sides snap in to the window trim without any issue. Got it on eBay a while back for around $50 if I recall. https://accessories.ford.com/cargo-security-shade-black.html

Factory thermostat vs. SPD 180 degree thermostat

That's looks like a Stant thermostat or an OE Motorcraft, which is made by Stant. If you see "STC" on the bottom, for Stant Thermostat Corporation, that will tell you. A certain on-line vendor that sells the 170° for a ridiculous price uses them as well. It's why I pointed out how easy it was to...

Factory thermostat vs. SPD 180 degree thermostat

The stock RT1225: There's lots of info in the thread I created on a 170° version, which I'm guessing you have seen. Those of us in the Cobra world have been using the 170 for years, which is another model that is easily crafted with two Stant thermostats for less than $20. Some reading on it...

DIY 170° thermostat, by OE supplier Stant. A $20 project.

Sure the housings are probably different, but the same idea with the thermostat, o-ring, and male/female section. Here’s the Ford image showing the ST’s fitment: the groove in the outer half sandwiches the o-ring just like the Coyote, which would compress the gasket in the same manner. The trick...
