    Hate my 3" thermal exhaust

So what's the bottom line? Will a tuned, otherwise stock ST with the full 3" Thermal exhaust produce the same power or more power than a tuned, completely stock ST? That's what I want to know.

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

Give it time...those rattling flex sections will rattle themselves to failure and then they will be forced to cover it.

    SCT X4 tuner / tune results !!

At least in terms of 0-60, SCT's canned tune is similar to the Ford Performace tune according to what people have posted.

    Welcome to the 50K club

We are going to start seeing a slew of these front axle hub actuator leaks as our cars age. Not even sure they fixed the problem as Ford Boss reports new ORings are failing too.

    Fix to Bass Volume Decrease?

That is fine if you have each subwoofer wired for 2 ohms (ie. in series) and then run them in parallel to the amp.

    Fix to Bass Volume Decrease?

Just now, I was perusing some SKAR products. I have to say at least on paper, pretty impressive. Not knowing what you have, one of their sub amps claims to be 1 ohm stable. I did see a sub like the two you have pictured. It claims to have dual 2ohm voice coils--one ohm at the terminals. If...

    Fix to Bass Volume Decrease?

You can't judge bass rolloff with volume from the stock system. It has no appreciable bass below 40Hz or so. The stock "subwoofer" is merely a woofer. Try this: Turn on your powered sub, use a 30 or 40hz test tone played from a USB thumb stick. Take your phone and use an SPL app. Start...

    Fix to Bass Volume Decrease?

I would make sure that the sub has line level inputs not speaker level. I'd definitely get a better LOC. The LC2i is not that expensive. Edit: Now that I look at the wiring info, I don't think it's possible to get line level inputs to the stock subwoofer. Accordingly, when the stock system...

    Fix to Bass Volume Decrease?

24-25 on the B&O?!?! OK, I did not test that high because the stock B&O system starts to distort at around 15. I think if you are after sound quality, you wouldn't just be adding a powered sub to fill in the stock system. Especially if you are after high SPL. The stock system simply will not...

    Fix to Bass Volume Decrease?

How high a volume are you talking about and what frequency of bass are you talking about? When I tested it, the stock system did not decrease low bass with increased volume. My AudioControl LC2i has an Accubass feature to try to address this behavior but I did not turn it on and see no bass...

Changed my cabin air filter today

Didn't you remove the battery though? Even if you didn't remove all that plastic cowl, it can pop out of place if you lift it to get the battery out.

    Check your plugs

I changed them at 60k. Nothing too unusual about the ones i took out. Gap looked enlarged but that's a given. You could probably regap them at 30k but taking them out is a minor pain, not worth it to just inspect the plugs IMHO... just replace them. Maybe every 30k if you are concerned about...

Tire Balance Problems with Pirelli Scorpion's (275/45/21)

If those are what came stock, I'd just get a new set of tires. The tires that have the sound insulation will say "PNCS" on the side wall. https://www.pirelli.com/tires/en-us/car/tech-and-knowledge/pncs-tire-noise-cancelling-with-foam

    Replacement windshield

Safelite has always been great for me. Like their mobile installation that saves me time and convenience. I haven't replaced a windshield in a few years. I would call to make sure they can calibrate lane centering and things like that. It would suck to have them install new glass but still...

Best tune for 2020 Ford Explorer ST

It sounds like Livernois is licensing this technology from another company. Accordingly, they are charging extra if you want this capability. If I'm not mistaken, it's a whopping $650. No thank you...

Thinking about buying a 2020 ST

I'd just make sure the hard 7-6 downshift is not there. Otherwise occasional "lurchy" shifts are normal. Improved with updated PCM firmware but still not perfect. An aftermarket tune can improve things further. And although I am warning you about potential issues, let it be known that I love...

Thinking about buying a 2020 ST

I consider 10/2019 early. That build might be put together a little better than early examples but as far as firmware and parts...probably no different than early builds. As another example, the liftgate will open with a mind of it's own sometimes. Sometimes stopping midway for no reason...

Thinking about buying a 2020 ST

Likely the camera is NOT fixed. Fix for recall #2 only was available recently...like within the past month. Recall #1 did not fix the blue screen for most. I wouldn't wait until after purchase to get things done. I find it a royal pain, and policy on loaners are becoming tight. Not sure...

Thinking about buying a 2020 ST

If I'm not mistaken, the problem transmissions were notable for a hard downshift from 7 to 6. Early 2020 shifted poorly and were better with later firmware calibrations. In fact, many modules had updated firmware that corrected problems. Ford even paid dealers to update them on unsold...
