Automatic Transmission fluid drain and fill - vacuum extraction method

I might do this soon. I have an electric pump. How far did you have to feed the hose into the fill plug? Do you notice any difference now that you have the correct amount, and fresh fluid?

    Thermal 2.5 and P2096?

Double check all the connections. Did you install an O2 spacer?

    FS Amsoil

I see a lot of 10r80 folks saying good things about Valvoline. Did you end up putting Valvoline in yours yet?

Miracle My Engine Didn't Blow Up

You did the 5 cylinder mod! I've seen this happen a surprising number of times on the Focus ST (2.0 liter ecoboost) and I can't recall any catastrophic results. Usually everyone gets lucky. I was in the same situation recently as my cylinder #4 spark plug electrode disappeared and the car was...

    Window close issues

That was it! Thanks! I feel dumb for not finding that in my search. I wonder what caused it to suddenly need a reset when it functioned properly for several months.

    Window close issues

I'm having some intermittent issues with my passenger front window. When I close it, it hits the top, and then automatically goes back down all the way. My initial thought was that it was not in the track. But that shouldn't cause it to go back down all the way. What could be triggering it...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I put on some exoforma tire coating, did some cerakote on the plastic trim too. I also added reflective nitrous blue ST badge inlays on the front and rear. Matches my Focus ST now.

    Drivetrain Fluids Change

Very helpful, thank you! Are there any other drivetrain components that require fluid?

    Drivetrain Fluids Change

I guess it may be hard to get fluid out of the fill. It looks like the common way to change the fluid is to remove the pan.

    Drivetrain Fluids Change

Is dropping the pan the only way to change the fluid? Is it held on with bolts? I have a pump that can pull fluid. I wonder if I can get a good amount out from the plug where you check the level.

    New Sync 3 Version 3.4.22251

Mine updated while driving. Very inconvenient. Good thing I didn't need the navigation at the moment.

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

Pretty sure it was this that did the trick: PSCM 730-01-02 xxxx xxxx **-- **: 00=Auto Start/Stop Disabled 01=Auto Start/Stop Enabled, Angle Inhibit Enabled 02=Auto Start/Stop Enabled, Angle Inhibit Disabled I think i tried everything else prior to no avail too. Not sure if the combination of...

If it seems the same all around, maybe there were just some minor bug fixes.

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

I'm just speculating here...I don't know the full logic or circuit behind how this change in Forscan works to prevent auto stop start. I think the PSCM change in Forscan is basically telling the car that some kind of steering event is happening, which will require the power steering pump to...

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

I just tested with the HVAC off, no change. The ASS off icon is still there. Looks like the fix is good!

    Forscan Auto Start/Stop turn off?

I haven't done any testing with the AC or heat. I feel like one of those is always on in my car. I think I remember ASS working (as intended) independent of any AC or heat. Just to double check, I will try driving with the HVAC completely off and see if ASS happens.
