FenFab Charge Pipe w/ TS BOV Install Instructions

Pretty easy. Since you don't have a factory BoV, it's install and run the vacuum line to the provided "tee" that you put in the line from the throttle body to the EVAP solenoid. With the non-BoV equipped vehicles, there's no monkeying around with the resistor, or plugging the factory BoV...

Current Average time to replace rear Diff under warranty?

Same here. There's not much out there that ticks the boxes like this thing. It gets around great in the snow, is quick, comfortable and roomy. I've taken a couple week long road trips in it, and it's been absolutely perfect for them.

Current Average time to replace rear Diff under warranty?

I hear that. I was looking at various cars and trucks, and with the interest rates where they are, I would have to downgrade pretty significantly to maintain my current monthly payment.

Current Average time to replace rear Diff under warranty?

It's not a very hard install. I had it done in less than a day, and it was the first time I did it and in my garage. The longest part was making the tool to remove the driveshaft. I could probably do the whole job in 4-5 hours now start to finish. I would suggest replacing the half shafts at...

    Rear End Failure

I did something similar. Used a exhaust clamp u-bolt, some angle iron, some 3/8 keystock and a large nut. I had to buy the keystock anyways, to pull the dang fill plug out of the diff, since there's not enough clearance for a ratchet.

    Rear End Failure

I've been pretty vocal about the continued issues I've had with the rear differentials in these. My first rear end went at 33k miles, replaced under warranty. 6 weeks ago the 2nd rear end went at 69k miles(only lasted 36k), which Ford was willing to help with if I waited until the parts were...

Current Average time to replace rear Diff under warranty?

BTW: It was $120 to ship it by UPS. It is crated, and weighed roughly 100lbs combined. Had it in 2 days. And in other news. This dealer screwed up and didn't clamp the drivers side intake to turbo boot when they did the engine at 10k miles. I found out at 45-50k while in South Dakota...

Current Average time to replace rear Diff under warranty?

But....That might be the gear ratio as well... who knows. But I don't think we have a limited slip. I'll drain it tommorow and refill and see what is up

Current Average time to replace rear Diff under warranty?

Interesting that it states 3.58L Which is almost 4 quarts. Interesting that the manual calls for 1.9qts

    Suspension Bolt Torque Values

I'm installing a new rear differential assembly in the coming days, and would like to know the torque values on the bolts that hold the rear knuckles on, the axle nut, and the 4 bolts that hold the rear differential assembly itself in. Seems like it should be a pretty straight forward swap

Current Average time to replace rear Diff under warranty?

I hear ya. I was about to trade mine in on 21 F150 with a 5.0. I wanted as simple as possible. But with todays interest rates, I think I'll just keep it and realize that from here on out, service is on me. And it gives me a reason to get the old 1996 7.3 back into shape. Its been a trooper...

Current Average time to replace rear Diff under warranty?

I was told that as well.. Then it moved to Sept 11th. Then I found one on a dealer shelf, but the dealer told me it was $675 for shipping... I wish I was lieing... But yes, ALMOST SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS for shipping... $1.50 per loaded mile. Needless to say I've got it back now, and I'll...

Current Average time to replace rear Diff under warranty?

Maybe this shithole company doesn't, but I know from experience things escalated quickly at the world's largest ag manufacturer the couple times someone called the plant manager. But regardless, stop being an asshole all the time
