Muffled phone calls @ higher speeds

I accidentally turned the phone audio down. All I had to do was turn the volume up during a call, problem solved. Are you on the call with the windows open? Since the phone is a speaker phone, extraneous noise will tend to mute the caller.

Love it! Where's the same for slush-boxes?

Extended Warranty - Yes or No

When I bought my Mustang, the credit union offered a basic coverage policy for $2,200. I declined and put $3,000 in a savings account. So far, I've hit it only when the turbo failed for $1,700. I add a bit from time to time. Having said all that, I did go for an extended service contract on the...

Make sure you text drive very thorough before signing any paperwork. I’ve got a 2023 explorer st fully loaded, disappointed with a few things for sure

Mine, too. Never enforced, though. I see cops driving while fiddling with the laptop, so definitely not taken seriously. Har.

    Towing Mileage

Mine gets 18+, towing a utility trailer with my JD S-170 (500#) and a tool box (100# or so). The trailer is 1,850 so 2,500#. My Ram got about 10 mpg, so I'm a happy camper.

At first I thought this was an up-dated version of the White Night lamps that enable better vision when connecting a trailer. I had that on my Ram and love it. I'll have to do some thinnin' 'bout this.

    Fuel octane

I fed mine 93 during a 2,600 mile road trip last summer. Avg 24.2, best 26.4. SInce we got back, I switched to 87. My fuel cost per mile is lower, but that's mostly because the 93 averaged about $5.20/gallon  Since I putter back and forth to work and run errands, the extra ponies don't...

    Lowering springs with OEM shocks

I would think compressing the shocks a bit wouldn't effect their functionality.

oil pressure at idle 17 psi is that normal

Can't speak to the Ford, but my Ram's normal idle oil pressure was around 4 psi.

    ST Appearance Package?

Chrysler had a 300C done up in the trim of "SRT Line". All cosmetics. I'm not even sure it had a Hemi - I think it did. Certainly not the big Hemi. I saw a ST-Line at the dealer. Mustang motor and cosmetics.

    Got a call today

Kept my appointment this morning -out of the house at 0630, at the dealer at 0650. At 0800, they told me "Ford has stopped authorizing these, waiting for a true fix." (Paraphrasing). "You couldn't let me know sooner?" "We apologize."

    Radar Detector Suggestions

My Valentine V2 wasn't cheap (it's about 2/3 paid for ;)), but it sure picks up a good ways off and shows how many and where.

    Camara's and RADAR detectors

I'm not a fan of "combo units". When one quits, you throw them both away and start over.

    Turning Off Highway Warning Notifications

We got a couple of those on the way back from NY. We took the advice, had a nice twenty-minute drive through some Virginia countryside and got back to the interstate south of the obstruction. We were at least impressed. We didn't spend an hour stuck in wreck traffic.

Finally hooked up ForScan. First PITA exorcised was the double-honk. Tried to get "global close" to work, no luck. "Fogs as cornering" didn't come out well, either. Increasing the lane change flashes didn't go so well. The only other success was "courtesy wipe" and the double-press for the...
