Pets are the best! They give so much, and ask for so little. [biggrin]

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

No problem! The ST has little competition at its performance/price point. Check out my other thread where I do a quick statistics chart of the ST's rivals: https://www.explorerst.org/threads/st-vs-the-competition.4056/

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Nope, nope and nope. Potential is extremely rare, FORD won't fix it unless it breaks, no detune, and the "fix" is for the e-brake to come on in PARK so if a break occurs the vehicle won't roll away. Check out my thread (now closed) where a poll was taken as to who did/did not have a bolt...

Rattle Diagnosed: Not what you think ...

It wasn't me, the FORD tech pointed to the rattling fuel line TSB and didn't mention anything else as being the cause.

I hereby order every person posting pics of their furry friends to give them an extra treat tonight on behalf of me. Seriously, I mean it!

Ordered my 2022 Explorer ST in April and it came in June

Only in Vegas could you find someone named "Chance." ;) Enjoy your ST, for price/performance it's in a class by itself.

Finally!! After nine months!! My ST is here!

Every car I bought was on the lot for me to drive. Most times I waited no more than 3 hours before I got it.

Video Title Should Be: "700 AWHP Rear Axle Bolt Snapper" "When your stock ST's 330 awhp wasn't enough to snap your 1/3 bolt, try this ..."

Anyone get frustrated with people thinking you are a cop?

Where I live local LEO's use black, and our State Police use another dark color. So Iconic Silver literally means nothing in that regard to people in my area. I get passed with astonishing regularity, which is fine by me! No offense, but that is one of the dumbest things I ever heard of. Not...

Rattle Diagnosed: Not what you think ...

Okay, not "fixed." A few days after I picked it up, I heard the same rattling again. Going back to dealer soon for another look. We're in a heat wave, and when then temps are in the 90's I don't hear it. But as soon as it "cools" down to the 70's and 80's, the rattle comes back. I'm thinking...

Anyone get frustrated with people thinking you are a cop?

Don't want to be confused with LEO'S? Get one in Iconic Silver, people pass me all the time. Lol

POLL: OEM 20" or 21" Wheels

Back up 10 ft please! Need a pic of the whole vehicle with those wheels.

Rattle Diagnosed: Not what you think ...

Repair completed! They kindly gave me a mainstream 22 Explorer as a loaner car (was 2 days in their shop). The first thing I noticed was it's thin steering wheel, really didn't like it at all.

POLL: OEM 20" or 21" Wheels

Thanks for the info. I'm guessing a same day back-to-back acceleration test of the 20" and 21" wheels is the only way we'd really know for sure.

    Premium gasoline

C&D tested 4 cars with Prem vs. Reg fuel: https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a28565486/honda-cr-v-vs-bmw-m5-ford-f-150-dodge-charger/ Good news is 3 of the 4 cars showed no appreciable difference, the bad news is the one that did suffer from Reg fuel was the Ford Ecoboost.
