    ST vs. The Competition

Heh, what's 11 mpg compared to the SRT's additional $17,000 asking price over the ST!

    1/4 mile times

It seems you're asking about stock ST quarter mile times, and the answer is generally NO. 90% of times posted are for tuned ST's.

POLL: OEM 20" or 21" Wheels

Okay, the Poll is now 70% 21" and 30% 20", more like I thought. Still too low though, I suspect 21" will go beyond 80%.

POLL: OEM 20" or 21" Wheels

Where I live, I'd say the number of 21" vs. 20" on dealer lots was ~10 to 1. The 21" with red brakes are definitely more aggressive looking, but here's why I had to avoid them when looking for a new '22 ST: Every one that had the $1,595 Street Pack also had about $5,000 in additional options...

POLL: OEM 20" or 21" Wheels

My concern is the increased likelihood of curb rash on the 21's. Regarding the poll, it is now 2 to 1 for owners with the 21" wheels, more along the lines of what I expected. I think that ratio will go even higher.

QUESTION: Who is using/has used a 3 bolt at the drag strip?

The only honest answer is they could deny your warranty, if they wanted to. So your '21 is a 1/3 bolt then? Regarding MA PIU failures rates, 1/2 of them failing doesn't jive with overall reported failures. Plus, that many failures would be front page news just about everywhere.

POLL: OEM 20" or 21" Wheels

    That they do. Makes sense.

POLL: OEM 20" or 21" Wheels

So far the poll is even at 6/6. But it seems nearly every pic I see posted of an ST has the 21's?

POLL: OEM 20" or 21" Wheels

I considered getting my 20's painted black, I would've got a set of OEM 21's but I figured I'd have less of a chance scuffing the wheels with the 20's. 20's as a Winter set! What has this world come to.;)

POLL: OEM 20" or 21" Wheels

Seems like my OEM 20" wheels are rarer than hen's teeth. Want to see the ratio of 20" vs. 21" wheels that owners have.

    Greetings! Get that camera out!

    New from NJ

I don't see most ST owners getting a tune, much less spending 10k for a mid 10 sec SUV! But whatever.;)

Did anyone else get the recall letter?

The "rear axle bolt" is not a "drive line bolt." The recall notice is for a reflash of the electronic e-brake, so that if the rear axle bolt shears and you put it into park the vehicle will not roll away. You had reported on another thread of hard transmission downshifting which led to a...

How does everyone wash and dry the roof?

That's what I use to wash an dry the roof ... The roof rack was worth every penny, would never get an SUV without one just for that reason alone.

Did anyone else get the recall letter?

What do you mean "Got mine too late." The brake flash recall wasn't related to your transmission issue.

2022 ST arrived, do I really want it?

Depends on whether or not you want a full sized performance SUV (many others are quite a bit smaller) without spending $20-$30k more. You can nit pick the little stuff or put down hard wads of cash for better trim, less aggressive styling and a tighter interior. I'll save you the time by...

    ST vs. The Competition

Thanks for the info! From my 3 year old KIA Stinger GT to my 22 ST, my insurance dropped $20/month.:) I realize no matter who you go to, every dealer's Service Dept will ask if you bought your car there. But if you say no, they'll still service it anyways! I can't believe BMW (or any other...
