Thank you very much ! The one thing i can't figure out is the top of the air box having 2 different size outlets depending on which side they exit . Left side outlet pipe is larger than the right side outlet pipe .

So i just received my Dual Port yesterday and will be installing it this weekend . I will reply back on the difference in sound quality between the 2 .

Completely agree with you here ! Around $300.00 is not bad at all . Maybe you can explain what the 3 different plastic tubes on the box do and where they run ? Is the lower driver's side of the box the "cold air" inlet ? the 2 upper tubes run to the turbos ? Not a mechanic and never claimed to...

There is not much to the stock air box . Screw driver and a 10mm socket and that thing is in pieces . I was just trying to figure out where the 3 different plastic tubes that attach to the box go to so i could figure out a way to design an intake .

You have the inside knowledge about a vendor making an intake but then you come on here and say to just use a drop in as an intake won't show any gains :confused:

I wonder if Turbosmart or someone can make a video of both plumb back and dual port to see the actual difference . There are so many factors between 2 different peoples videos that it's hard to make out the differences . ......maybe i will convince myself to be the guinea pig :)

I can hear mine when just in regular drive mode . Of course i have to get on it and then let off .

It sounds the same as my plumb back . Curious if it sounds the same while driving ?

Was the hardest part getting to the underside bolt for the BOV ? or the rest of the stuff for the dual port ? Just asking cuz i did the plumb back and found it pretty easy....but of course i'm a little guy so little hands make this job pretty quick and painless

Luckily the turbos silence it down a bit . Just trying to figure out what sound to go with . It's just hard because this platform doesn't have a huge variety to choose from . I think the MBRP race mufflers sound great but that's on a 4cyl. ecoboost . I might just go with the Magnaflow race...
