Actually that’s not surprising one bit being ford knows they screwed up and it’s happening on completely stock vehicles. So tune or no tune, it can happen regardless.

I know but clearly the battery is a weak point in this car. So many people get it replaced under warranty. I think it’s just such a power hungry car. Maybe I need to start including more prolonged spirited trips during my week. Charge that battery up some more lol

That is true. But I have a portable jump starter in the car. So even if dead, I’ll jump and be on my way. I haven’t had any issues with the car running. If that starts happening, I’ll just swap it out. But I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have to replace the battery of a less than 2 year old car.

Just had mine tested 6 months later after my last oil change. Said good battery per the tech. Yet I’m getting deep sleep messages, handles not responding, etc. I know it’s just a failing battery but they won’t replace until your dead on the road or it fails that test. It’s annoying. I know this...

I thought the tune had the recall built in. Talking about the automatic ebrake when shifting into park.

Interesting. I didn’t think maps downloaded via WiFi like that. I thought it was only usb.

Yeah just get it fixed. Costly mistake but it happens. I dropped a ladder on the back of my ST and put several dents in it. $1000 later and I was good as new.

I turned off auto update after this last debacle. I don’t see anything on my ford dashboard either. Not sure what that is.

Yeah no warranty is bricked either way lol we have choices which is great for us. That’s all that matters. One of these days I will definitely upgrade to Zfg but for now the FP tine satisfies my needs. Just glad we have options for this platform.

Yeah will definitely post back. I’m intrigued but at the same time, I’m still 100% happy with the tune. No way they added power so I won’t stress too much if I have issues trying to get the new update. But I’m sure they’ll clarify/help me out.

So I finally plugged my tuner in. This was on a new computer. Downloaded the software. Once I plugged the tuner in and connected, a couple things updated. First thing mentioned something about version 34, the other thing was a DIP update version 10. Those two things updated. Then what was it...

Good question. I don’t really know other than it adds the auto start stop memory feature meaning the car will remember and keep whatever setting you set it to.

I didn’t think map updates come from ota. You either have them send you a usb or you download the files yourself and do it via usb.

Not sure. I just downloaded them yesterday. In no rush to do it but maybe I should get to it if it expires. I just don’t want to leave my car running for an hour to update maps.

It stayed there the whole update. Mine took about 10 min or so.

Hmm mine has never said that. It just immediately says updating at the top. But when you went to the zip file, you extracted those files and dragged them over to the usb thumb drive?

I’m thinking that’s where the issue is.

As soon as you put the usb into the car, it should immediately say updating or something at the top. how many files do you have on your usb? Should be 3 i believe.
