    High Performance Pack

It's nice that they are factory installed now, but it makes it even more overpriced for what you get.

    High Performance Pack

Not any bigger, just a different compound. Since it is a dealer installed option (not from the factory), that $600 also includes the time/labor to install them. There really is not much of a noticeable difference in performance, but they do squeak in cold weather compared to the standard...

    1 Inch Wheel Spacers

You will need to trim the studs to go with 1" spacers. The 1.25" spacers fit with no trimming of the studs. Your rear tire will be just about perfect, but the front tire will poke out about .25".

2022 Ford Explorer Adds the ST's 400-HP V-6 to More Trims

"Up until now, the Explorer's 400-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6 was reserved for ST models only, with the Platinum application of the same engine detuned to 365 hp. Not anymore. For 2022, the Platinum and even the King Ranch trim grades get the full-strength V-6 EcoBoost treatment." This...

    High performance brakes

To second zdubyadubya's experience, there is no difference in performance under daily driving and very little if any under aggressive driving. The only difference is they do squeak in cold weather. My dealer never got around to installing the high performance before I bought it (Oct 2020), so...

    Cold Air Intake status?

Checked with my vendor and they told me that per aFe, mine "should be shipping no later than 12-26-2021 but could ship sooner". But I will believe it when I see it.

    aFe Exhaust

Coolness, I have their Vulcan system on my wife's Edge ST and we are pretty happy with it. It will be nice to have another true catback system available.

    aFe Exhaust

So the whole system is just one internal x-pipe muffler? No additional bottle resonators or anything?

    Black door pillar trim

I personally do not (yet), sorry. I have no doubt there are some members on here that do.

    Black door pillar trim

Because they are just plastic. You can put some pillar covers on them. https://www.theocdplug.com/shop/p/explorer-pillar-protectors

    2021 ST BOV

No, it should take around 15-20 minutes if you know what you are doing, 30 mins if not. You remove the airbox and then the hardest part is finding the right combination of universal joints and extenders for your ratchet. I wouldn't pay someone $20 to install it, let alone 1.5hr at shop rate.

    2021 ST BOV

I certainly do, it is the Turbosmart BOV Kompact Dual Port VR13, p/n TS-0223-1096

    2021 ST BOV

The sound It is just an upgrade over the stock diverter valve (assuming you have one), as in it is just a better part. Seals better, acts in more a reliable and predictable manner. So while it doesn't not provide a performance increase in terms of hp/tq, it does sort of improve driving...

    2021 ST BOV

They are nearly identical, the main difference is the orientation of the solenoid on the cap.

2022 Ford Explorer Adds the ST's 400-HP V-6 to More Trims

Any V8 would be good with me. I still want to see an EcoBoost V8, I think this platform would be a good home for it.

    Winter wheels and tires

The OE all seasons actually did pretty well for me last winter, but coming from a tuned RWD Lincoln LS for the past 10 winters, anything is an improvement. My plan is to use the OE 21" wheels as my winter wheels and just put winter tires on them, and get wider forged wheels for the summer.

Loaded my 5* 93 tune today. Dragy times

@ZFGracing, or anyone else with actual experience, what are your thoughts on running E30 on the stock tune as TMac asked above?

For those thinking about a "performance" exhaust system

If Ford would put the Voodoo 5.2L in an Explorer you would have your wish (as would I).
