I really need to find a decent, affordable local shop. Both of them I went to were over priced for a muffler delete and resonator swap and said they couldn't replace the downpipes by law even though they have cats in them.

I can't find any shop that will install downpipes due to emissions laws, are people just installing these themselves, are they relatively easy to do?

Looks like there are a lot of add-ons available, are any of them worth it? O-rings, Check valves, Hi Flow PCV fitting?

They guy at the shop was saying he would delete the stock mufflers and replace the factory resonator with a Magnaflow x-pipe, he said he would still keep a lot of the existing pipe since it's stainless and expensive but he still wanted $850 to do it. You think that would sound and perform...

Ahh, you probably get cheap gas too! Just regular 87 octane is $2.50 / gal here, I saw something called T100 the other day (and said race fuel in big letters) @ $10 /gal.
