2025 Explorer Teaser Ahead of Tomorrow's Reveal

2025 Explorer - So why in the hell can you get a 2nd row bench seat in everything EXCEPT the ST or the Platinum if you choose the 3.0 liter engine. F'ing stupid. If you choose the 2.3 liter engine in a Platinum, you can get the bench seat. I'm sure no one knows, just venting about the stupidness...

Ford's Plan for Fixing Quality - CEO Reponds

Farley absolutely sucks - period. His ideas and agendas are not inline with the buyers. The arrogance of his electrification push onto buyers and the subsequent failure of electrification has been comical to watch. He is purely reactionary and has nothing under his leadership for anyone to hang...

So what other cars are in your stable?

My 2004 F150 with only 16K miles on it so far. I ordered it brand new and went to town on it. I designed, fabricated, and built the majority of it. It's lifted 24". The bed alone is too high to be backed into the garage (last pic. below).

AFe Power SALE here at Lethal Performance!!

Ford has been my largest customer for years in my professional career. I deal with Ford a lot and I know all to well about assuming anything!

NEW Product Alert! The AWR Racing rear diff mount

It is really hard to deny a couple of hundred bucks for better piece of mind with the Steeda. I agree completely with that.

NEW Product Alert! The AWR Racing rear diff mount

What are peoples opinions on the AWR vs. Steeda diff brace? Here is why I ask - To me, the AWR brace is significantly better on your wallet than the Steeda. The AWR attaches to (2) diff bolts and goes to the horizontal bushing set up that comes with the kit. To me this is still better than the...

My issues with FORD and the ST.

How does yours work? I had (2) in my 2022 ST and they were both the biggest POS there ever was. I thought the 1st one was defective so I exchanged it for a new replacement. The 2nd was the same as the first - constant freeze ups and constant resets and slow to react to what it was supposed to...

What is the easiest way to remove and replace the front grill Ford emblem on a 2021 ST?

I happened to post yesterday about me being a Program Manager for a few years at the OEM Ford supplier of Ford emblems, ovals, badging, etc. . Older OEM Ford ovals that were not produced where I worked, were paint over chrome ovals. What that means is that the ovals were injection molded, then...

AFe Power SALE here at Lethal Performance!!

Any deals coming up on a Steeda 555-8141 diff. brace? Looking to get one for a 2025 Explorer ST. I am assuming they are carrying over the 3-bolt diff. from earlier ST's.

How to remove interior black plastic trim scratches

I realize this is an older thread but I came across it and maybe I can help. I was a Program Manager for a few years at the company that makes nearly all Ford OEM emblems and badging including the Ford Explorer hood letters, Ranger fender badges, F150 & F250 etc. fender badges, Bronco lettering...

Having fun without losing towing capability

Just my $.02 on towing, you may want to consider air bags for the rear to prevent squatting. They are inexpensive ($125), made in USA, lifetime warranty, and not hard to install. My toy trailer tongue weight is 350 pounds and it squatted my 2022 ST a fair amount. It wasn't over excessive but...

    Intake system

I realize this thread is 10-months old and I'm sure there are newer threads I didn't come across yet. My apologies up front. Can anyone tell me if the AFE CAI is/was worth it. Any real benefit in fuel mileage or felt HP or torque?

Engine replaced at less than 20k miles

I bought a brand new Ford Ranger STX back in 1996 with the 4-liter, V6. Within 20K miles the wrist pins in the pistons started to seize and the pistons were making a slapping sound. Ford replaced the engine under warranty. In 2016 I had a Fusion Titanium with the 2.0 liter turbo that I bought...

    2025 Towing Capacity

My thought which is purely a guess is that the previous models may have been overrated so the new tow capacity number is a correction from that. If Ford was getting abnormal warranty claims associated to towing, that's the easiest solution if they are unwilling to change/upgrade componentry.

    2025 Towing Capacity

The towing capacity reduction is one of the first things I noticed about the 2025. Really curious as to why the downgrade in towing capacity if they are carrying over the same engine & drivetrain with no changes minus the trans. calibration change (whatever that is). I have a 16' tandem axle...

How to disable hands-free liftgate feature???

The hands free sensor(s) at the bottom of the rear bumper cover plug in at one location. I've disabled this on (2) Escapes and on (2) Edges that I have owned. Go under the vehicle at the rear bumper cover and find where the hands free wiring plug connection is and unplug it- It's that easy. Why...
