    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

Previous to this Explorer, I had a 2005 and 2012 Escapes and rarely had problems between the two of them and drove each 240,000mi. I haven't had this Explorer long enough to comment but my experience with Ford is they're always yanking your chain for overcharge and lie to you to discourage you...

Best tune for 2020+ Ford Explorer ST

Remember when I asked if you wanted to be friends? lol Actually, considering, not all that bad at $66.6/mo. Thanks for the link!

    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

Curiously, I opened the QR code on the sway bar and it turns out, this is a Lincoln Aviator rear stabilizer bar.

    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

Yes, that was my first look underneath. It will get addressed as soon as I get some time off. It surprised me in seeing that on a vehicle only 3 years old!

    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

That's what I was thinking. Stone17 posted a pic on this page that shows what looks to be the bottom of his parts tag. The QR code looks a little different though.

    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

Don't know if the precious owner addressed the recall or if this ST wasn't a recall candidate but it turns out it's a 2/4. It also seems that what looks like the rear sway bar had been replaced. Anyone recognize it?

    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

I'm quickly learning how to avoid them but sometimes it's inevitable. Warranties and recalls come to mind.

Best tune for 2020+ Ford Explorer ST

Unless that info on the Ford software subscription has to be hauled over here, all we need is a PM! lol I'd rather pay you than Ford but just a quick link to where I could subscribe would suffice.

And you're right and it's not a reason. My ST is still stock.

Best tune for 2020+ Ford Explorer ST

On the contrary, I see a lot of posts of many trying to dodge detection of PCM flashing and questions about keeping their warranty after various mods. I agree with your view point on Ford protocol protecting their warranty but on the other hand, it seems in my recent experience that Ford is...

    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

Thank you sanc1384! Much easier than Ford leads you to believe! Just another attempt to get in your pocket for $170. Shame on them!

Best tune for 2020+ Ford Explorer ST

Don't know how this applies to the newer technology of today but as far as warranty concerning PCM tuning, back in the day, when I was running a Supra, I could interchange the ECU/PCM. One was modded and the other stock. If I were to bring it to the dealer, I would simply unplug the tuned ECU...

    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

I'm not sure of "any" of these companies except for the fact that they're always gunning for your pocket. It's one thing when you have to deal with planned obsolescence but when they cut corners so badly it creates unsafe conditions, it makes you see that all priorities go out the window in the...

    Recall Rear Bolt Fracture?

2020 here. I went to the stealership and service looked up my VIN and told me the bolt problem doesn't apply to my SUV. In fact, the only recalls that show up for this one are the cameras. He then told me that Ford can't fix those because they no longer make the parts! :-o I then asked him if...

    Ford Performance Tune

Most of the time I'm daily driving and rarely use sport mode. I don't mind the auto stop feature to save fuel but can turn it off at the press of a switch. I was asking because I wanted to make sure I wasn't confusing it with the "stop/go" feature in the ACC. Thanks for the reply!

    Intelligent Cruise

Yes, the problem is, mine can suddenly change the "set" speed without changing the "speed limit" speed. Meaning, it's not adjusting to the variations of speed limits on the road when it changes my set speed.

    Intelligent Cruise

    Ok, thanks for answering that!

Does it just change your rolling speed or does it also change the little speed limit icon on your dash?
