My dealer replaced the leather seat cover and one of the massaging air bladders. It doesn’t click anymore and feel a lot more solid.

I’ve tried to update the sync system but it will not update in the background like it’s supposed to. It also will not pick up where it left off either. I’m going to address this issue on my next service visit.

My car is going in probably week for something else and they’re going to look at it. Found another thread online about this issue and it could be related to the BCM connection. I have some other electrical gremlins and this could be the fix . I will update!

Recently I’ve experienced changes in the way the warning chimes sound. I noticed it right away while backing up and it also does it with the initial startup beeps. It sounds like it’s coming through a crappy speaker behind the dash. Usually it comes through the main speakers.

Do you know which tests your dealer did? Preliminarily my dealer stated that they believe it is a normal condition but will be looking into it and checking for bulletins. I sent them a slo-mo video because I'm sure it will not flicker when they're looking at it.

Update: The dealer performed SSM49582 and immediately I could tell that is was way smoother. The lurching during downshifts is still there but not as bad. The loaner car I was given (2021 Explorer XLT) operated the exact same way. So I'm certain this is just how they are.

I ended up cancelling my original appointment with the dealer because I wanted to put some more miles on it to see if it went away. Well I am now just over 3000 miles and the problems are still there. Its going in for service this week and will update when I get some answers!
