What is your routine when you start your ST? (Winter Edition)

I think he’s turning on the parking lights so he can turn on his fogs.

    Any 2022's Autostop Eliminated and/or FORScan'd yet

How does it work? Does the switch retain its memory like the auto start/stop eliminator makes it do?

    Any 2022's Autostop Eliminated and/or FORScan'd yet

Seriously. Where in Forscan was the option?

    Jacking procedure?

Thanks. The new TL models go up a bit higher like 3” more. About $1,300 at Costco.

    Jacking procedure?

Which Quickjack model do you have and how are you storing it?

    Jacking procedure?

Ya those do work well. I use one of those with a floor jack and raise the rear on one side enough to get the front side up. Then, put a jack stand with pinch weld adaptor under the front and another jack stand with a wood block under the rear subframe for safety. I just rotated the tires and...

    Disabling hyper flash with forscan

Yep, it’s much easier to go with the simple enable/disable screen, which I think is the “As Built” screen.

    Oil catch cans

I wish Ford would have made these 3.0’s with dual injection.

    Disabling hyper flash with forscan

If I remember right, it says something like “Left Turn Signal Out”, “Right Turn Signal Out” and you’ll disable.

    Any 2022's Autostop Eliminated and/or FORScan'd yet

I haven’t made that change on mine although I did see where to change it in Forscan when I was making other changes.

    Any 2022's Autostop Eliminated and/or FORScan'd yet

No. You can change it in Forscan though.

    Has anyone changed exhaust tips?

There an exhaust guy near my office and I told him what I wanted and he just did it. Don’t know who the manufacturer is. Thanks though!

Burning smell from air vents + occasional puff of smoke from engine

Rotten egg smell is post cat. My thought is a cracked weld at the exit side of one of the cats like we’re hearing about which causes excessive flex pipe rattling.

Abusing an Explorer ST for science

I wouldn’t call it worship. Respect, yes.

    What's everyone's drive mode?

For sure it is. I had to get used to it but it is easier on the drive line. Don’t get me wrong, I like to go fast but not on city streets.

    What's everyone's drive mode?

I putt around town in Eco…easier on the equipment.

Abusing an Explorer ST for science

Lol!! No, not defensive, not drunk, not into meds. I’ll admit, that was pretty funny though. It’s all good. I just get a bit miffed when I hear cops being criticized.

Abusing an Explorer ST for science

Thanks to the internet, you’re able to portray ignorance and remain somewhat anonymous. Did I say “all” cops? Go back and read my post, please. Of course there are exceptions but it’s attitudes like yours that see one cop screw up and you think they’re all bad. Galaxies apart…..give me a break...

Anyone use Apple Watch for remote start?

My app shows up on my watch and I didn’t have to enable private sharing.

Mishimoto's Explorer ST Catch Can R&D Thread

When no negative pressure is available such as with wide open throttle, you’re right, the check valve closes and nothing gets pulled from the crankcase. There are other brands though that use the intake tube vacuum to take over at that point. I also have the UPR can which does have the WOT line...
