Post 2 - Oil catch can installation, observations and results

Not a problem, I don't mind reiterating for you old heads ;) The theory is the ECSS helps with back pressure... you know how rumors are. Ig they gotta justify the expensive option in the first place. I hear ur warning, but frankly, science prevails.

Post 2 - Oil catch can installation, observations and results

Dump, not sure if Ford has anything like this published https://www.liaviator2.com/lincoln_aviator_removal_and_installation_valve_cover_lh-2605.html

Post 2 - Oil catch can installation, observations and results

Pretty sure that's the same mount, yet to get my engine cover off, tbh. Looks like I gotta do the whole fender liner to get to a couple retainers.... [crazyeye]https://www.liaviator2.com/lincoln_aviator_removal_and_installation_front_bumper_cover-3452.html Believe me when I say I considered...

Post 2 - Oil catch can installation, observations and results

I prefer the term unbiased. The theory that an ECSS induced pressure relief will provide better low gear efficiency makes sense. Not sure why a catch can is necessary tbh, but ig it helps w durability. Thanks, mainly uploaded this for those graphics.. as me no good w words. Pretty sure that's...

Post 2 - Oil catch can installation, observations and results

I think the claim for MPG is w the ECSS not the oil catch. I definetly notice the blowback once and while, so we'll see if it help. Thnks for clarifying.

    2023 Corsair... the baby Aviator

Took me a little bit to get used to the adaptive 30 way seats (or whatever it's called)... definitely more firm than the normal cushion options like the explorer. 50 miles x 5 days for my 9-5. My old back approves.

Post 2 - Oil catch can installation, observations and results

Still no modifications made on my 2020 Aviator, but my UPR oil catch can will be first. UPR claims to increase MPG and low speed throttle control. Eager to get this done, got a wedding this weekend but I'm hopeful. I'll document initial reaction, 1 wk MPG, and 2 wk MPG. Background: DIY catch...

    2023 Corsair... the baby Aviator

Nice! What color? Blue? I found a good deal on a Reserve w all the options, 70k miles Ford tough (y) only rattles is my equipment in the back. Wasn't until daily driving red lights that I wished I had the Hybrid... oh well

    2023 Corsair... the baby Aviator

Man, I'm bummed I missed this conversation. I think the Corsair has major design upgrades and rightfully so, the same Design Lead led the design process the after the 2020 Aviator. I can only attest to the exterior of it, I think it's design looks similar but more evolved from the Aviator. I...

    ST vs Aviator for towing

Hey, kinda late, but if you remember: is the 10R80 for the hybrid Aviator, and gas-only is the 10R60? I assumed so since the Explorer HEV is 10R80-MHT and the gas only Ex is 10R60. Source? All I have rn is this wiki article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford-GM_10-speed_automatic_transmission

    Aviator, engine bay differences

Yessir, I have the aviator. I thought you'd seen these 'mods' on the aviator somewhere online. Always nice to see how someone else did it fist, but I agree with you nothing a man of patience can't easily do. Thanks!

    Aviator, engine bay differences

Is there anything like this, https://www.liaviator2.com/lincoln_aviator_2020_service_manual-2324.html for the Explorer? So I can really go side to side with the two. Thanks, as always! Appreciate everything u do for the community.

    Aviator, engine bay differences

X4. Yeah, they didn't even give me a stinkin Lincoln North Star emblem on the air box... Looks like I was panicking about the Blue Oval Forum post above

    Aviator, engine bay differences

Ah! Thanks for the correction! Looks like the second one isn't a Aviator... seems Lincoln uses Explorers in their manuals.

    Aviator, engine bay differences

Post 1/3: highlighting key differences of 6th gen Explorers/ 2nd gen Aviators. Many know the Aviator as the luxury, town-SUV, cousin of the Ford's Explorer. With a larger body and air-suspension, the Lincoln boast the same 3.0 v6 eco-boost and 10 speed transmission system. Other differences are...

If you're seriously considering parting out, I'm your huckleberry. Wish I would've seen this before I bought a UPR oil catch.. but lmk ASAP please and thanks!

    Cousins! 2020 Lincoln Aviator

Nah, I'm over the coupe, sedan phase.. tbh, this Lincoln gets up there as stock. Car before this was also a 3.0 V6 supercharged '12 Audi A6; this vehicle is 2X the weight and less top speed, but merging acceleration is insane! [loveboost] If I wanted a 10 second 2.5 ton car, I'd have bought a V8...
