so are there a quality set that will work with the factory wheels and aftermarket? I see the larger budge units for factory wheels, but will the smaller ones work correctly. I want to avoid buying things twice...

you could make a ring shape out of wood carpet it and riv-nut it in place on the plastic panel from the back. That way you can follow the shape of the box, hide any gaps and hold the panel solid and keep it from rattling and will look like a continuation of the floor.

Cruising Im not sure who in the area has a JL max. I dont think ABT has one, I know the few shops out in the western burbs dont either. Ill keep an eye out but keep us informed if you find one. I wonder if JL has a listing of the shops that have one for reference.

quick question, in one of the above posts you mentioned that you need .6cuft for the sub after install. assuming you are using a JL TW5v3 sub. the internal box requirements are .8 cuft and the displacement of the driver is .052, so you should be somewhere in the .75 cuft range total after sub...

maybe an aftermarket company will come out with a replacement kit. stinger, kenwood, alpine, sony, any of the bigger 10" screens would look at home there and be landscape based...one can only wish...LOL

you could use the new epicenter micro as well. it's a nice piece to connect just a sub for now and then just use it for the bass enhancements when you upgrade everything. it comes with a knob that controls the effect of the epicenter and the volume of the sub. Just dont forget to disconnect...

I was just going to ask how you are planning on mounting them. I remember seeing metal of some type on the last build, I want to do something similar but they need to be super secure. You could have a CF emblem made for the amp as long as that part of the heat sink doesn't get hot.
