    Critter pics

Here's Rosie: We rescued her and her sister off a highway in Georgia. They were skin & bones, trying to eat road-kill.

    Critter pics

I suspect most of us have four-footed family members who've stolen their hearts. I'll start: This is Sadie: The pic the shelter posted: Here she is, just three weeks later: Now she's a healthy 65# sweetie. Smartest dog I've ever had.

    NYC ST owners check in!!

Ouch! I wouldn't want to expose mine to that traffic. Arlington, VA's traffic was bad enough.

    check your tire pressures

At least it's a trifle easier. The Escape's spare was "upside down". Had to unbolt it to check the pressure.

    Oil Change Woes

I took my rides to a nearby quick-change oil place for years. Never had an issue - all the staff were car-guys. Lately I've been letting the dealer do the ST for the warranty records. The Mustang gets done in the driveway.

    Oil Brands you use?

The Mustang gets 5W-30 Pennzoil Ultimate, and a K&N HP-2009 'bout every 6K. Since I have a buncha points on the ST, it'll get Motorcraft semi-synthetic dino-oil and MotorCraft filters 'bout every 6K..

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Washed, waxed, vacuumed, "ST" center caps on. Man, I'm getting too old to curl wheels.

    Explorer ST Shirts?

Yeah, the courts won't see it that way. Ford holds all that stuff ("Falcon", "Galaxy", "Taurus", etc., etc.)

Anyone get frustrated with people thinking you are a cop?

My wife's Vanilla 300C had that effect. We made regular runs to Baton Rouge. People would see that big grill and those big shoulders coming up and move right over. I suspect Rapid Red isn't such a camouflage color.

    Real world mpg

No, it's just in the Admin part of the computer. Hold the "OK" button while starting the motor. It'll go into "ET" mode. Tab down a bunch, 'til you get to "AFE" and select that. The default is 1,000. Dial it down to 950 or so. Mine is set to 965, as I recall. I have some better error info on...

    Real world mpg

You can dial it back and get a better guess by adjusting the "AFE" setting in Admin mode.

Locking Gas Cap - Have you tried any?

With anti-siphon and rollover valves, it's nearly impossible anyway.

    Rapid Red Thread

Here's mine: My wife said "Your heavy foot and a red car. What could go wrong?"

New Member 2020 Silver Spruce Metallic

That is a nice color. My wife almost bought a 300C that color. Chrysler called it "Jade Mist"

Car Porn ! Awesome Pictures !

Mecum again: 1951 Crown Vic. Gorgeous car, well-behaved flat-head V-8: The owner was going around asking, "What is three-on-the-tree?" Mine was the first correct answer he got. "You're driving my car."

Car Porn ! Awesome Pictures !

Mecum Auction, Kissimmee 2011. 1953 Corvette, #139 of 300 built: That's me, behind the wheel. It didn't run very well. That Blue Flame Six shook like a cement mixer. People thought the visible fiberglass patterns were a defect.
