You can shut it off in the settings via the touch screen. I don't remember exactly where in the settings but I did see the option to disable it.

2014 Ford Fusion S Hybrid

Well, just picked up a black Explorer ST. I've put 40ish trouble free miles on it so far ;) It's going to take a while to figure out all of the features but i'm totally looking forward to it.
