    1000 mile oil change.

    1000 mile oil change.

No, break-in oil not is used any more; it’s been many years. Aviation still uses ashless dispersant and high Zinc additives on new engines but tolerances are so tight and consistent now and engines are run on the line prior to installing them. Rings are seated long before the car is ever driven...

    1000 mile oil change.

I always do mine only for the fact that I know the filter was changed and the correct amount of oil was put in. Also, I like to stay with the same brand of oil for the life of the car. Did my first at 1,000 with Wix filter and Mobil 1 5/30. I have 4,200 on it now. Will change every 4,000 or once...

    Advice appreciated 2021 ST

That’s just like mine except for the sunroof. Didn’t want that and 99% of dealer stock had sunroofs. Since it’s the only one around, it makes it a bit harder to negotiate but I think you should be able to get 5K off, maybe 6. The Hi Perf package is really kind of a waste because the only...

    Old man from West KY

You’ll like the ST a lot. I bought mine for work and right after that, my company bought me a new car....go figure. I wouldn’t have gotten an SUV for my personal car but now as it turns out, I’m glad I did. I’m also a car guy, 63 years old. 3 Vett’s, last one a C6 Z06 and now I’m looking to...

    Lane keep assist

LKA warns you when you’re too close to the edge of the lane and Lane Centering intervenes and actively steers and keeps you centered in the lane. It’s only works when Active Cruise Control is set. It will steer you through corners too but it detects if your hands aren’t on the wheel and gets...

    Chirping ST?

Could be something simple but don’t sign anything until it’s fixed and they let you know exactly what it was.

    Vertical Distortions In The Windshield

Good idea but the windshield is not polarized. If it were, as soon as you tilt your head while wearing polarized lenses, your view would start to darken and once you’re at a 90 degree angle, you wouldn’t be able to see at all through the windshield.

    Lane keep assist

Lane Keep Assist is available without cruise being on (press button on on left tree) and cruise needs to be on for Lane Centering.

Name ONE ST Feature others might not know.....

So to make sure you know, when you slow down by taking your foot off the gas and not using the brake, the brake lights will not come on. LOL!

    5 Months in...a few issues

Cruise control steering: It’s called Lane Centering. It’ll steer you through a curve too. Very cool feature. #5: High frequency rattle: Don’t play Rap.

Name ONE ST Feature others might not know.....

The brakes activate too; not just the brake lights. That’s the one and only thing I don’t like about the active cruise control.

UPR catch can and orange fitting solution.

I installed my UPR catch can a while ago with the upgraded check valve and I got 4 or 5 orifices with it to use in place of the PCV valve. I just went with the middle size orifice and was was wondering what everyone else was using. Like I said in my post, I did order the replacement fitting for...

UPR catch can and orange fitting solution.

Which orifice that UPR supplies with the can is everybody using?

UPR catch can and orange fitting solution.

Nice! I gotta tell you that I actually thought of doing exactly that except I didn’t have an expired credit card or piece of plastic stock. I was going to cut up an aluminum can but about that time I decided to just order the replacement connector from UPR. Nice work!

    Dirty tailgate and window

True that! The surface needs to be clean otherwise you can scratch the clear coat. I only use one after I’ve recently washed it and before the dust/dirt has gotten wet. Also a good wax or sealer needs to be used.

    Dirty tailgate and window

California Car Dusters work great for that.

Replacing BU & Rear Turn Signal lights -> LED

In order for the turn signals to look right in red, I think they’d need to match the red brake lights. Might be tough to do since the brake light lenses are red.
