FS 2021 Explorer ST in Maryland, 45k miles

We've got a new vehicle incoming within the next couple of weeks, so I figured I'd see if any enthusiasts want our ST before trading it in. Custom ordered from Plaza Ford in Bel Air, MD. Took delivery 10/4/21. Garage kept, ceramic coated since new. No mods, no issues, no accidents/incidents...

I've got a Check Engine Light

Press on the side of the plug on the driver's side while pulling the plug toward the back of the car. That should release it

    Convince Me...

As long as your 5 year old can buckle himself in, you'll be OK. I would put him in the 3rd row, infant on the passenger side second row, and 3 YO on the driver's side second row. The only time it'll get tight is when the smaller two are in the car and the older one needs to get out. I sit...

I've got a Check Engine Light

Just to add to the knowledge base here...I just replaced this in my '21 ST an hour ago. One dealer had the part in stock for $160, the other local one had it for $106 so I went that route. The whole thing took me 15 minutes, and I'm not a gifted mechanic by any stretch of the imagination. I...

    New owner in MD

With the exception of the Ford trucks I’ve had, I haven’t run a front plate in the 9 years I’ve lived here. I would rather Ford leave the decision up to me instead of riveting three big holes in my brand new front bumper. Not a massive deal on a kid-hauler, but I’d flat out refuse delivery on a...

    New owner in MD

Finally picked my ST up after ordering in late June. Only drove back from the dealer so far and it’s off to the detailer today but initial impressions are good. We needed a third-row SUV so this will compliment our Porsche Cayenne GTS. The only slight niggles so far are that it showed up with...

Ford Explorer ST Vehicle Order Tracking

Finally got the VIN from my dealer and was able to look up the details: Ordered 7/7/21 In Production 9/12/21 ETA 9/22/21 Shipping via convoy, 9/22 seems aggressive since it's not even shown as built yet. But who knows, just happy to have confirmation of the build!

Hello, My 1st Ford and its an Infinite Blue

Not to derail this thread too much, but I'd highly recommend you check out a Porsche Club event if you do decide to go to NJMP. Well-run, great instructors, and plenty of track time. Check out MotorsportReg.com to look for some upcoming events - shoot me a PM if you have any questions

Nice Evo, assume you're mainly going to NJMP? Hope to see you there sometime if so

    Order Build Time

Let me ask you guys this - if you weren't already, is anyone thinking of leasing given that our new 2021's are immediately going to be a model year old? I've never leased before, but I'm considering it now because it puts more of the depreciation risk on Ford, not me...although I'm sure they'll...

    Order Build Time

As a data point, I ordered in early July and just today heard that my build is scheduled for the week of 9/27...so probably mid-late October for delivery. Which isn't a problem, but the fact that this will be a 2021 doesn't sit that well with me...oh well, should've just waited a couple more...

What did you pay for your ST

Per Ford's IR site, you need 100 shares and to have held them for at least 6 months

What did you pay for your ST

It's a Ford-affiliate program that basically gets you invoice pricing with no haggling. I'm eligible through my employer (as are most big corporate employees, I'd imagine), and you're also eligible if you own Ford stock. If you find out that you're eligible for X-Plan, you generate a PIN # and...

What did you pay for your ST

I was able to find a dealer willing to do X-Plan, plus Ford is offering $1k to build your own order so that's what I just locked in. And I should be able to get whatever public incentives are available when I actually take delivery
