Tune After Borla Cat Back Exhaust/21E11 Recall?

Is a tune required after installing a Borla Type S cat back exhaust? I typically see a tune and exhaust go hand in hand on this forum. However, I don't want a dealership voiding my warranty for a tune after spending close to $60k on the vehicle. Also, I am having the left cat replaced due to the...

Newly installed Steeda springs and exhaust.

I've seen a lot of folks talking about adding wheel spacers along with the lower springs. Is that strictly for appearances or does it serve an actual function like it's needed?

Newly installed Steeda springs and exhaust.

What is the sway bar part number from Steeda?

Newly installed Steeda springs and exhaust.

Has anyone ran into voided suspension warranty situations with lowering springs? Magnuson-Moss Warranty act aside since no one wants to get legal involved and end up costing you more money and time in the long run fighting the dealership.

Newly installed Steeda springs and exhaust.

Any tire rub when turning or bottoming out when hitting bumps? Basically any cons that you can think of from experience? Seriously considering the Steeda springs at this point to reduce body roll and over all handling.

    Nice example of painted trim

Shame because these pictures look sick and paying a couple thousand to paint and no guarantee that will last is a no go in my book. Also, I'm from Cincinnati originally. Gotta love all those potholes with those low profile tires.

    Nice example of painted trim

I called a few places and left some voice mails asking this and no one called back so this pretty much confirms it.

    Nice example of painted trim

Does anyone know if you can wrap plastic trim?

    "Squat" From Park To Drive

Has anyone ever noticed that the vehicle "squats" in the rear when going from park to drive? Curious to see if this is a suspension feature, has something to do with the added torque to drivetrain or an issue that someone has experienced.

    Exhaust smell inside vehicle

I think you need to read my statement again. My exhaust is factory, not aftermarket and the factory cat has a recall, which is being replaced. To your point, We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid - BF

    Exhaust smell inside vehicle

Recall on the cat confirmed today and new part is back ordered until late Feb. Wonder if Ford will be liable for carbon monoxide poisoning....

    Exhaust smell inside vehicle

I heard issues ranging from the cat converter cracking to faulty exhaust manifold gaskets. Curious to see if Ford would void my warranty if I put on an aftermarket. I would hate for them to come back and say "the reason your turbo crapped out is caused by the aftermarket exhaust."

    Exhaust smell inside vehicle

What year is your ST and when was the recall issued? I have not seen a recall. I have noticed an exhaust smell after a cold start and while sitting at stop lights. Selecting recirculating air seems to help but need to have Ford look further into it.

2020 Explorer ST Humming/Rattle When Accelerating

I did not notice it on the test drive and it was one of those small nuances that you end up noticing after the fact. I will ask to test drive another ST when I am at the dealership.

2020 Explorer ST Humming/Rattle When Accelerating

My thoughts exactly. Just didn't know if this was someone common with other ST owners and could be pinpointed based on my description alone. I'm going to take it to another shop other than where I purchased it so wee if they can determine what's going on.

2020 Explorer ST Humming/Rattle When Accelerating

The sound is coming form another location other than the flex pipe, which I also noticed and was able to pinpoint immediately. The low level humming noise is just any type of acceleration and coming from the engine bay itself. I tried looking up video's to see if there are examples and can't...

2020 Explorer ST Humming/Rattle When Accelerating

I recently purchased a 2020 Explorer ST and have been noticing a humming/rattling noise coming from the left engine bay right underneath the dash. This only occurs when accelerating in any driving mode. I had the Ford dealership look at it and they said it was a normal and coming from the...
