"Space GhoST"- single turbo ST build

Get well soon. I've heard that RSV can be pretty rough and it's been spreading.

New ST owner from Fallon NV.

Welcome. 1. Auto Stop Eliminator https://www.autostopeliminator.com/collections/ford/products/2020-ford-explorer-autostop-eliminator Only works with all wheel drive. The other option is a 3rd party tune. 2. Should be able to turn off in the setting with the touch screen. 3. No suggestions. I...

    Exhaust smell

With mine I had very little smell inside. And only on start up. You could hear it when cold also.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

13,000 miles. I knew there was an oil leak but getting to hard for me to crawl under it any more. Was surprised to find the transmission cooler is mounted on the side of the tranny.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Had the drivers window switch due to peeling chrome. Also had the left cat replaced as it was cracked. And had an oil leak diagnosed and it turned out to be a cracked transmission cooler. Part should be here tomorrow but service isn't sure they will get the repair done. So might not get it back...

    Exhaust smell

Just had the left cat replaced today as it was cracked. My dealer ordered the part as soon as I called him. Bad part is I didn't get it back due a different issue.

Auto start and the factory tune

My guess is the FP tune doesn't change that because of EPA mileage rating. 3rd party tuners don't care about that.

That is why most install instructions recommend putting a towel down on the windshield when doing this.

    Ford Performance Tune

And the 3/36 starts from when the vehicle was first sold.

    Regular or Premium

No argument from me. Just stating why I use 87 Octane. What are your thoughts on using E15/Unleaded 88 octane ?

    Regular or Premium

We don't have that. Closest is E15/Unleaded 88 octane. Not sure how I feel about it and I haven't seen any reports from anyone using it.

    Regular or Premium

I agree. Where I'm at it's 90 cents a gallon more for premium 91 octane versus 87 octane. 93 octane is near impossible to find here.

    Is the Ford Tune noticable?

There are a number of posts here. https://www.explorerst.org/threads/ford-performance-tune.1984/page-27#post-61924 Most (if not all) that have it seem happy with it.
