How to display tachometer in Normal mode(?)

Nope, just that rising gauge thingy. I wish normal mode had a dial gauge and I also wish the speedometer had the speeds marked around the dial.

    1000 mile oil change.

Let us know what you come up with. I’m ready to hit 1,000 miles myself and plan on doing the first early oil change myself. For me it’s either Mobil 1 or Amsoil 5/30.

How to display tachometer in Normal mode(?)

It’s under Display Settings; select Tachometer. Press the menu button on the right side steering wheel control, scroll up or down with the arrows and select Display Settings. Put a check mark under each item that you want to see on the screen when you scroll up and down. This applies to all...

Trunk button doesn't open trunk on a locked vehicle

Maybe the fob has a week battery. Maybe try the other fob. I didn’t know that the motion sensor for the rear hatch was an option. Thought that was included with the ST.

    New ST owner

Welcome and congrats to your daughter on her victory! Nice choice on your ST, but I’m biased LOL! The ST is a great performing SUV; pretty easy to forget that you’re driving an SUV too. I come from a long line of performance cars, the last being a ZO6. Just got my wife a new BMW X4 M because she...

Is everyone ok with the giant tablet and terrible bezel?

I was going to ask the same thing but was trying to come up with a diplomatic approach like yours LOL!

    Oil Catch Can Thread

You won’t get denied a warranty claim for a catch can if it’s installed correctly and it’s really hard to NOT install it correctly. I’ve ran catch cans in all my high performance motors and never even got questioned. I’ll probably put the UPR in my ST since they’ve got one all set up for it. A...

    Soooooooo that was quick. Totaled...

Suing for what? They’re both okay. The other guy isn’t though. Oh wait...you’re an opportunist. Nice. Glad you guys are okay, Storm Trooper.

    Looking forward to seeing them.

    ST Model Noises

Those louvers actually are for aerodynamics. When the temps are low enough, the louvers close to decrease drag.

    Buyback Data

I’m not saying that at all; sorry if I wasn’t clear and I think you completely deserve a buyback. What I’m saying is that why not get another one instead of changing brands? The odds of you getting another lemon are extremely slim.

    ST Model Noises

Normal. Electronics turning off/cycling. Sometimes even when you haven’t driven the car it will randomly do that. If you have your FordPass set up, after the car has been sitting for a while, open your app and press the refresh button. You’ll hear the same things happening.

Who new the exhaust tips on the Explorer ST were fake?

The main reason is to keep exhaust fumes from entering inside the vehicle through the back hatch which also keeps soot of the back end.

    Buyback Data

I had an issue with the heater core (they thought, anyway) which required the complete dash, and front interior to be removed. The heater never worked from day one and it turned out not to be the heater core after all. I didn’t want a brand new car disassembled and reassembled like that so I...

Heater takes a very long time to start warming

This thread is about the HVAC system but thanks for pointing out that the seat fan subsidizes the heated seat function; I never knew that.

Heater takes a very long time to start warming

The “cool” function uses a fan, heat does not. Neither use the HVAC blower.
