Budget rugged dedicated PC for FORSCAN. Mac users take note.

I'm not a poweruser or anything. I use an intel-based MacBook Air. I like it better than any windows laptop I've owned. Macbook Air is a good choice for all around screen, battery life, nice keyboard, power adapter, performance, portability etc.

Budget rugged dedicated PC for FORSCAN. Mac users take note.

As a recent convert to mac, i had plenty of old windows 10 devices. one of my PC laptops died so I just used that license and ran it on my macbook air using bootcamp. works great. doesn't sound like I'll be able to upgrade to windows 11 but not a big deal since I'm mainly running Forscan with it.

Drivers Window & Mirror Controls Stopped Working

I've had the rear hatch lift go completely dead. Turning the car off and on didn't do anthing. I pulled the fuse to check it out and it was fine. Putting the fuse back must have reset the module because it came back to life.

Just noticed a new Strut Tower Brace

I don't know, I'd rather have the Steeda. Looks too much like the braces they had for my previous Nissans and Subaru. Aluminum alloy that looked solid but flexed way too much and don't like how the bar is bolted at the brackets.

That brace looks sweet. Can you tell that it's stiffer than stock?

    Wireless CarPlay

These things just don't work like it should. There is always some drawback that for me is a deal breaker but maybe not for some. For instance, ifyou don't use Siri or don't do a lot of phone calls. I just hope people thinking about one will look at this thread and think twice about trying it.

    Wireless CarPlay

This is my beef with getting anything from China. They can send stuff over here for cheap but it costs an arm and a leg to send things over there. It also seems like things get lost in shipping whether you receive or send thing over there. Not worth the hassle.

    Malfunction indicator lamp

I think with any car, it's a good idea to invest in a code reader that has specific codes for that model. In our case, that's Forscan (can use free trial) and an adapter like the OBDLink EX or MX+

Aftermarket Tune Rankings and issues you may have had.

Livernois PRO: -respectable power -nice trans tuning -simplest device to use -good customer service -very solid: you won't be beta testing a tune like others are doing CONS: -not a custom tune -cannot display gear all the time (although they told me they will work on it as they've done it in...

Best tune for 2020 Ford Explorer ST

You "trashed" your transmission with ZFG but say it's a problem with the stock tranny. When others' trannies go, you blame the tune. So which is it? I can almost guarantee you are not the only one to have need a tranny replaced running ZFG.

Trying to do oil change at 1500mi mark

I never measure what i pull out. After 10k miles you might be almost a quart low and that's normal. If you are adding much less than 6 qts fill, I'd double or triple check to make sure you're at the full line on your dipstick. That's all that I was saying.

Easy way to see you vehicle lowered

    Well, excuuuuuuuse me!

Trying to do oil change at 1500mi mark

That's odd. I add 6qts exactly with every oil change using the extractor method. Have done 3 and each time the same.

I'm kind of impressed you get 20 bags of mulch in there. Is that all behind the 2nd row? I usually get 6-8 cu yards of mulch trucked in. Not sure when it becomes more cost effective over bags. Delivered is $30.

    ST Street wheels?

normal. A lot of wheels are like that. To be honest, I don't think it's a big deal--until you mentioned it, I hadn't really noticed.
