Mine has a whole series of noises several minutes after shutting down. They sound like something is being shut off, maybe by a timer.

I ust received my Autostop Eliminator in the mail. It literally took me longer to find the 7mm socket than it did to install the thing. It works just as advertised, the feature stays off until I push the button.

Ours is Rich Copper, and it's beautiful. We looked at a couple of others and when we walked into the showroom with this one sitting there my wife, who isn't a car person, stopped and said yes, that's the one. In the few weeks we've had it several people have commented on the color.

Thanks for the answer. There are times when I wouldn't mind it shutting off on it's own, but the majority of the time I don't want it to do that. And remembering to push the button when I start it just isn't working.

Is it still possible to turn it on with the button?

There may be a few times where I don't mind the Auto Stop feature, but I want to be able to choose when. I just ordered the AutoStop Eliminator and I'll write something about it once it gets here.

I spent years as Captain of a turbo diesel powered excursion ship. If my Engineer ever shut down a hot diesel without letting the turbos cool first I would have fired him.

I just did a 100 mile highway round trip. The first 50 in ECO mode and the return in SPORT. According to the trip gauge I got 26.9 in ECO and 25.5 in SPORT. SPORT was a lot more fun.

I just picked up my new Explorer ST. It's Rich Copper and has the Street Pack option. Only a few hundred miles so far and I love it.
