I don't know if your seats are constructed differently but I pushed down hard on both passenger side seat and drivers side--there is minimal or no pressure applied to the plastic trim at all. The seat cushion is pretty firm and it almost feels like there is a solid floor before any pressure...

The calls are not through bluetooth, it is through the wired connection. You are basically operating your phone through the car's hardware. If you are having bluetooth issues, maybe carplay is just the ticket.

Check the folder that your owner's manual came in. It's supposed to have a card with the original code. Otherwise the dealer can do it for a charge, I'm afraid.

Good thread. I had assumed they were the more common 2032 or 2025. Just ordered a couple of 2450 to have on hand. The stock battery seems to last a good long while at least--my explorer was delivered 7/2019 and I have 20k miles already.
