    Steeda vs H&R

Fed Ex was fast. I ordered the sway bar and springs at the same time. They were both shipped at the same time but for some reason, the packages got separated. I received the springs in 3 days and the swaybar in 4--on a Sunday no less. They send it with "signature required" but you can sign a...

    Steeda vs H&R

Please watch what he's doing with his hand at exactly 9:48.

    Steeda vs H&R

I hate to say it, but you may have to redo your install. There is some amount of play of the mounting brackets positioning before you tighten them down. Once the sway bar is centered you have to position the brackets as inward as you can so that the bar's tabs limit movement to either side.

    Steeda vs H&R

Did you make sure the sway bar bushings are well lubricated? heat shields all secure? It's got to be something else because the bar will not contact the springs or anything else in the vacinity.

H&R Lowering Spring Step-by-Srep Install Video

First off, a big THANK YOU to FatGuy and Unbroken for the video and the tips. Installed Steeda springs today and things went smoothly thanks to you guys. Did the fronts the way I normally do. I guessed that the preload wasn't too bad so did not use spring compressors to disassemble the struts...

    Engine cut out?

Something similar happened to me but without the tune. I was getting on an on-ramp to the highway and was getting on the throttle. I felt some stuttering and then there was a loss of power despite throttle depressed--then it slowly increased rpm and speed. weird. It was a one time event...

    ST Accessories/Modifications

The stock picture on the ford site is wrong. My Ford window shades look like the AVS shades and are made by the same company.

    ST Accessories/Modifications

The AVS part is the exact same as the Ford part...just cheaper. Yeah, I thought about dremeling it but it wasn't too big of a pain to remove and replace with new tape.

    ST Accessories/Modifications

Nope! It sticks to the rubbery window/door trim. In fact, the problem is that really is not a good surface to stick to. I'd recommend thoroughly cleaning it before applying the window shade. Make sure you leave a little bit of a gap between the front and rear. When in the sun, the heat...

Grinding noise when placed in sport mode

Does it do so from a stop? There is nothing magical about Sport mode. Exaggerated throttle response. Faster shifts. Dash display changes. Nothing really mechanical.

Creaking from interior rear cargo area.

Also, all the plastic panels are held in by clips. Sometimes they dislodge and need to be pushed back in. Don't forget the liftgate.

    ST Accessories/Modifications

Your discount Ford parts dealers (there are several) have them for about $85. I happen to get mine from Levittown Ford with free shipping code ("fs2020"?). Alternatively, the Auto Ventshade 894090 window deflector is the exact same thing and sells for $65 plus shipping but has a small "AVS"...

    Steeda Lowering Springs

GDubzFL, can you comment on how the Steeda springs ride compared to stock?

    Roof rack cross bars?

I have and recommend the Ford crossbars. It doesn't add height and it does not call attention to itself. Con: it no longer locks into place but tightens up and is held in place by friction.

Pedals too close; Steering Column too far; Human too Long - what to do?!

i agree. I also wish the seat would lower an inch or two more.

    ST - Storm Trooper Build

That's too bad. You can print out and sign an authorization if you have a fedex account to leave at the door, but sounds like you are out of town.

    Steeda vs H&R

Thanks. Maybe the ST shocks/struts are good enough. They are supposedly different from what's on other trims.

    Steeda vs H&R

There must obviously be a difference in "progressive". Every H&R spring I've used actually made the ride worse at speed unless you got performance shocks like Koni Sport (yellow) or Bilstein B8 or equivalent. Going with Steeda.

Would 17in wheels fit the ST Street Package brakes ?

I doubt it. Many of us have 18" winter wheels and it just clears.

    Rear suspension parts development interest.

Steeda has rear sway bar according to their website. I just ordered one.
