Damn that’s strange. curious, what sunroof issue are you having?

Has Anyone Received a 2022 Model Yet?

I’m pretty sure it’s the same amount of piano black as the 21s. Changes I’ve noticed is obviously no cupholder led lighting( f u ford), the hvac controls don’t show the temperature anymore. Rather the temp shows in the top corners of the screen. At least that’s how it is on the tech package...

Glad things are moving forward for everyone! I know the wait is painful.

Ceramic Coating Complete … any thoughts?

What do you do if you get a scratch? Can you buff it out or will that ruin the ceramic coating in that area? Also, what about when it starts to fade away? I've heard that it starts to "peel". I am debating whether I should do it or not. My car is garage kept and I always keep my vehicles clean.

    Dashcam install (heavy pics)

Perfect that’s exactly what I was looking for! I didn’t know the terminology, but yes my connector is a spade terminal. I will fix mine asap! Thanks.

    Dashcam install (heavy pics)

Wife out of town for work, mother in law had the kids. Took a quick stab at this and got my garmin dash cam and parking mode working thanks to everyone’s awesome help! only had two issues. One, had everything hooked up but still couldn’t draw power. Long story short, if I remember correctly...

    Dashcam install (heavy pics)

Okay great, I really appreciate your help. Never attempted an install like this before. So just because there is currently 15a and 20a fuses in the spots that I’m going to install the fuse tap, I can just switch those fuses to 5a and remove the 15/20a fuses altogether because those are unused...

    Dashcam install (heavy pics)

Ohhhh I see. I guess I didn’t realize that I still need to use a fuse for the new connection I’m making. So first fuse will be the original fuse, and the other will be a fuse for the connection I’m making with my dash cam. EDIT: actually, the # 29 and 37 fuses the OP used, they appear to be...

    Dashcam install (heavy pics)

Okay thanks. That confirms my research last night. Won’t I just pop in the fuse that I’m taking out to put in the fuse tap, and then put that same fuse back into the slots in the fuse tap?

    Any 2022's Autostop Eliminated and/or FORScan'd yet

It especially makes sense that the only engine ford allowed the removal of auto start stop this year was the more fuel efficient 2.3L. Yet the removal option wasn’t allowed on any of the 3.0L.

    Any 2022's Autostop Eliminated and/or FORScan'd yet

Likely whatever epa ratings ford achieved, required auto start stop to be on by default. That’s why ford did it that way I would imagine. It’s stupid but I’m sure that’s the case or something along those lines.

What size fuse a taps do I need? I bought a variety pack on Amazon and they’re too big.

    Any 2022's Autostop Eliminated and/or FORScan'd yet

The reason the car will always default to auto start stop being on is simply to meet EPA requirements and parameters. I wouldn’t be surprised if ford initially wanted to have it work like the brake hold button. But in order to meet the parameters they need with the EPA, it has to be set to on...

    Any 2022's Autostop Eliminated and/or FORScan'd yet

Ford has been using this tech since 2012. Nearly 10 years later and I haven’t heard much issues long term. I think our engines will be just fine. Having said that, I probably still will add the mod at some point to turn it off completely just because I think as a user, I should be able to do that.

    Are these new cupholders?

Yeah new for 22. Nice replacement to get rid of the 2nd row center console.

Ford Explorer ST Vehicle Order Tracking

That is absolutely ridiculous. I just read a story of this happening to someone in one of the ST Facebook groups. I’d request mileage update asap that way if it’s up there, you can start looking elsewhere. I’d demand the dealer find you one and work to get more money off.

    If you want the best....

I’ve always replaced the back up lights to leds on my cars. Is the turn signals really worth switching out? I guess it’s just like the back up lights, just makes them brighter so people are more likely to see.

Torn on installing dash cam via mirror tap vs fuse

No, that’s very helpful! Did you just use a car trim pry tool to sneak the wire into the gap at the top of the a pillar? Circled area in my picture. That area is very tight and no way I could push the wire into it. I really don’t want to remove that piece. Just hate removing panels.

Torn on installing dash cam via mirror tap vs fuse

I appreciate the details. Only thing I’m unsure what you mean is the RVM area. So once I run the wire down the a pillar in the gap between the a pillar and the window, what direction did you go if you didn’t go through the gap at the bottom of the a pillar below the vent? I don’t think...
