More goodies: FenFabrication Cold air intake and IC Piping

Got it. Just different ways of looking at it I guess? This diagram makes sense to me. So to answer the question, whether a diagram calls them cold, hot, or lukewarm, yes those pipes are getting done too :)

I am positive you know more about cars than me so not disagreeing based on my own knowledge - I just did some googling and asked my fabricator about this. See below diagram I found. He also confirmed generally hot side refers to hot parts which is anything exhaust related between the engine...

The real answer to this question is time and money related to scanning the corner and creating a sealed box. That's one point. The second point is we don't have the tools to test the benefit of this vs what we did but I feel confident saying any performance increase (which would be incredibly...

One more weld and mock-up is done. Then working with all the plug-ins, then powdercoat

Hahahah top notch CAD work my friend! I love it. I will never pretend to be the expert on this stuff but we did talk about this at one point and my guy told me it would be better to keep it as far away from the hot engine bay as possible directly in front of the fresh air entering. Where it's...

LOL they will have zero clue what is happening. Maybe the more experienced technicians but not the oil change people. I used my points already when they installed my Whipple IC (yes, the dealer had no problem doing basically anything minus the tune) so I probably won't go back there unless...

Lol I swear I was just thinking about that last night and forgot until I just read this. I need to get that ASAP.

Agree! Which will matter when I open the hood almost never but at least I'll know it's prettier under there :)

Mock up continues. Merging to the 4” intake heading down to the fresh air

Looking through grill, inlet to snorkel... View of snorkel inside... Snorkel removed... You can see the fitment problem. Retaining the snorkel would put the filter closer to hot engine bay air. We think it’s better to put the filter right in front of the opening getting the most...

This snorkel right? I believe he’s not intending to use that. The cone filter will sit right where that was...right in front of the opening behind the grille. We want the filter as low and close to an opening as possible which is where the snorkel was. That being said he’s still investigating...

The more the merrier!! We are powdercoating everything a textured black that holds up well.

I know, it would obviously be ideal to have all these comparisons! I asked Brett about your comment above. His reply: This shouldn't be an issue, this is why you use aluminum for intakes and intercooler pipes. We use aluminum to eliminate any chance of the system rusting, and it's lighter...

More mock up. I’m not an expert here but think I got this right. As of now he’s doing 4" intake into 2.75" into turbo inlets (merge pipe pic below) then 2.5" from turbo outlets into intercooler then 3" to throttle body.

I told him I would expect there to be interest here so I believe he is. Not sure how many people would be interested in just intake vs intake and ic piping. A lot of people seem to do tune and whipple ic together so maybe both. Can you do a survey on here? Feel free to send me a message or...

Fitment begins...some temporary pieces for experimenting. Likely 2.5” intercooler piping and 3.5-4” intake. Comparison shot is upper intercooler pipe matched to throttle body size of 3” - this is where both turbos are flowing together.

I told him there would very likely be others interested :). Are you talking about the redline carbon fiber intake for the raptor? looks sick
