Honestly mostly to just be unique and experiment. Ideally an x is closer to the front but limited by the car setup and not wanting too sharp of an angle anywhere. But X-pipes do help smooth the flow of air and clean up the sound and help scavenging effect for slightly more power. X pipes also...

Curious to hear what you think. Those are the Vibrant rear mufflers we have along with some Magnaflow as well for 2 options. The MF are smaller.

Exactly - Magnaflow PN 12599 is the mid muffler I have shown in the pics above. The resonators are Vibrant PN 1794. Will post the rear mufflers details once we decide on which to go with.

Rear muffler options compared to Borla. Bigger is vibrant option and smaller is Magnaflow option (both smallest options in oval shape). Will see how each works fitment wise.

Mid muffler comparison vs Borla - purposely went for a bigger Magnaflow mid muffler with internal x design so we could go smaller on the rear mufflers. Excited to be running dual x pipes - can’t wait to see sound it produces.

We should all try to go for a cruise sometime! Relatively close to each other. Yes downpipes suck to remove but rest is easy. We’ve all swore off modding at some point at least on certain cars. This was supposed to be my stock daily driver...yeah right.

I'm really happy people helped me find this fabricator and can't wait to see/hear it all done! I'm not sure what else is even left as an option for performance at this point. Upgraded turbos would be next until an intake is available.

Another day of progress! Next up magnaflow mid muffler (internal x pipe design) then out to two rear small mufflers. We ordered both vibrant and magnaflow and will see which works better with the design, they are slightly different dimensions.

From my experience it's just as much about the tread pattern, rubber compound, and temperatures. Quieter tires will have semi-closed shoulders, various sizes of tread blocks, and minimal gaps between tread blocks. On all of my vehicles in the past the narrower winter tires are always louder...
