    Door keypad issue

No, just 7-8 and 9-0. Been that way 40 years with Ford keypads.

    Blade antenna color

So far does not look like a cost cutting issue as I also would have assumed since ones built both before and after mine are color matched. Seems more like an availability issue maybe.

    Blade antenna color

What is different with the 2020 roof rails?

    Blade antenna color

When was yours built? Mine was in November during the second week of production for the 2022 models.

    Blade antenna color

The blade antenna on my 2022 ST is black which is fine since it matches the black roof rails and all the other black trim on my Rapid Red. I have noticed the antenna on some other ST’s is painted body color. Wondering if this is a model year difference, a part shortage issue, just random, or...

    Any 2022's Autostop Eliminated and/or FORScan'd yet

Installing the Autostop Eliminator only takes a few minutes, hardly much more time than to boot up a laptop, plug it in, and run a program to change things.

    Door keypad issue

Only way to do that is to press 7-8 and 9-0 simultaneously on the door keypad. That will lock the key fob in the car.

    Door keypad issue

So after not using my ST for six days, the keypad shut down again. This time by accident and experimentation I found the keypad still works but the numbers just do not light up to show where they are. If you really need this feature in that situation a small paper template could be made for...

Just got my 2022 Explorer ST

The roof rack is not standard on 2021 and 2022 ST. It is a $250 option to include it.

    Windshield image

My 2022 has it on both sides of the cargo handle. The hard surface side had a large very sticky label on it I had to remove.

I was going to use Easter egg in the title but thought I might get questions about what I meant.

    Windshield image

I have not seen this mentioned before. Ford always places a small decal on the inside windshield passenger side. I normally remove that right away but delayed this time because I liked the Explorer drawing on it. When I finally removed it I found the drawing is not part of the decal but is...

Ford Explorer ST Vehicle Order Tracking

Ford will only build customer orders for a while. Dealers will not get new stock for their lots until late May. https://fordauthority.com/2022/03/ford-dealers-will-not-receive-new-allocations-until-late-may/

    2021 Vs 2022

Yes, I also wonder how accurate the display is. I have only been accelerating in Normal mode when I check the display. Definitely should be checking other modes. Also have not been in snow/ice to watch what it does there.

    2021 Vs 2022

Yes, that is how all RWD based transfer cases work. The question here is why does the display always show power to the front?

    2021 Vs 2022

What people now call permanent AWD does not mean everything is locked. I have had many 4WD trucks and tractors going back to part time transfer cases and manual locking hubs. Of course on those you don't put it in 4WD on dry pavement. Today AWD includes transfer cases with differentials and...

    2021 Vs 2022

Actually the power goes to the transfer case first before getting to the rear diff. My other older Explorers (body on frame wth two speed transfer case) definitely only send power to the rear when on automatic mode. On those I lock in 4WD when on icy stuff so I don't feel the transfer case...

    2021 Vs 2022

On dry pavement with normal acceleration the display shows power to all four wheels. Have not tested other driving combinations, but just always wondered about the rear wheel bias since the display shows that.
