    24 ST Build progress

That is a good point. I bought the front poly bushings too, assuming this mismatch might be a problem as well. I almost went I.D.

    24 ST Build progress

Glad I havent installed mine yet, then  I'll see what comes about this so I can pick up whatever bolt is claimed to work properly. What is it with bolts and these diffs? It's like theyre allergic....

How much would you pay for a new 2023 ST?

Agreed. I honestly didnt bite on the local 23 ST, even with 10K off, for the same reason. Deletes, Recalls, and not the PREVIOUS model year, but 2 yrs back? It has to be at LEAST $15K off for me to be serious about it.

    24 ST Build progress

Wow. That is crazy. If the brace is a stiffness add, and the bolts are not garbage - the diff has way more stress than Ford admits.

autostop eliminator? I think all would recommend using Forscan to disable it on your own, with a bonus of extra capabilities later. ps, Welcome, Ygritte is a beauty!

Rear Differential Replacement at 51K Miles

^ Honestly, the mileage isn't even a factor for me. For a diff to go, at anything less than 250K is seriously a non-starter. For both an engine and a diff to go before 50k? *facepalm* We expect more out of spark plugs and serpentine belts, than we do from Ford/the most crucial parts of a...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I've been debating some for a while, I'm jumpin onboard thanks to you.

    Dealer Bushing recall work

That is correct. To be honest - I made the appt to have my recall done 1.5 months ago, and they used the bushing "the day before" I arrived, and "didn't order a new one - I have zero sympathy. (And would gladly slip the tech a hundo haha)

    Dealer Bushing recall work

Right, which is why I'm confounded - they had the posts unscrewed, I'm just curious who pries on a tri-coat metallic-painted surface to release adhesive.

    Dealer Bushing recall work

The dealer did toss the rear black badge on like I asked them to do during the rear cam recall, but I can see tool marks around the oval depression... who PRIES on an adhesive badge on the paint side? You can push with a screwdriver on the other side... :poop:

    Transmission woes

I am really sorry to hear that. It sounds like you're stuck in a gear that wont budge you and that trans is likely toast. Good luck getting to the good dealer, sir

    2025 Ford Explorer Order Guide

^ They're probably waiting on Subframe bushings that are being sucked up by recalls... (lol) In all seriousness, I hope your delay is short!

Low Pressure Gas Line Leaking After HPFP Install?

Glad you got your answer. For the future modders out there: ANY fuel leak is too much - even just the smell. (vapor burns, not the liquid)

    Dealer Bushing recall work

In a turn that surprises no one - I scheduled my bushing bolt recall over a month ago and after taking in my ST, they called EoD to say they couldn't do it. Apparently, they had "just used my parts yesterday on someone else's ST. I've taken the opportunity to request that they charge my for a...

Joined the Leaking CV Boot Club

I have seen videos proclaiming that the backup camera issue is related to a bad water seal for the unit. The pigtail is short, has no drip-loop and the connector is not waterfproof. The suggestion is to use contact cleaner on the connections/board, and then dielectric grease on the connectors...

New motor, hallelujah. 2020 Explorer ST.

To be fair, a tune should in no way affect the oil level. A dry dipstick means you likely had the issue with the flawed pan seal. Im glad they didnt try to B.S. you and you got it replaced. Now, did they REPLACE it, or try to replace internals? (They did that to a Fusion Energi of mine they...

My brother is useless and I'm visiting Niagra Falls for the next couple days, but still too far.
