Install 360 camera after taking delivery of a 2023 Explorer ST

^ As another person in the thread mentioned it, that could be the denominator. I don't know how that works out for you. On one hand, most of the "deleted" features I see, still have harnesses to connect units to and don't have a different wiring harness. On the other, I don't know what the...

    After installing tune/IC

^ The other end of the equation was the resistance change to a platinum plug from an engine designed not to have them. I was using it as an example and curious if there were any quirks like that for plugs in the ST.

Name ONE ST Feature others might not know.....

I grew up where hills and mountains are everywhere - I live and die by this feature. People complain that paddle shifters need to die because "They are not like racing controls and aren't immediate" --- they miss the point. Pulling a load, slowly driving up hills, riding brakes down hills...

SLD Steeda Explorer Rear Differential Brace (2020-2023)

Where were you 5 days ago? Good luck on the sale, sounds like edog is interested!

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

I had this question in my mind the whole time - did Ford's crazy, cheap ass put the 3-bolt diff into Police Utility vehicles? Thanks to this post I know the answer. Honestly, the units that are driven hard, put away wet, and have the lives of not just civilians, but officers that protect them -...

    After installing tune/IC

Any extra gapping with this? A previous turbo car I had, we ran colder plugs and had to gap them an extra 30 thousandths to retain the right spark kernel

    #TEAMLETHAL MUSTANG GIVEAWAY IS LIVE!!!

Just make sure the paint is so glossy I can dive into it. I like my ponies purty

Post your favorite pic...it’s a show off thread.

Very nice! Though, I'd like to remind people - you never know who is here. Cover your license plate or edit the photo to delete it!

    Stripped Engine Mount

Im sorry. Exhaust wasnt together right, spring was off the mount - someone's head is on the block for this, and they are sure as hell buying a new mount.

    ST Lemon

Have you checked all the charge pipes? If bands are loose you cant build boost and itll be a pig. It doesnt even have to be significant. OEM Intercooler or upgraded? May be leaking.

    White smoke?

^ Your problem is that it only happens on cold start. There in your own pictures some form of smoke happens 2 days in a row. Take it to the dealer, drop it off overnight, be there for initial startup in the morning. I wish you the best of luck with that.

PSA for those with Aftermarket Exhaust

That, is a lot of fluid! still soundd good, right?

    Rear Brakes/Rotors

That would be weird, but one brake grabbing harder than another causes it no matter front or rear. You will feel it more in the wheel if its front and more in your seat if its the rear. Make sure to bed the brakes this tine too.

    White smoke?

That sounds like some pandemic-era QC issue if ever I heard one. Glad they replaced it. Just in case someone finds this years from now and out of warranty - if you're not upgrading turbos, and it's finally available, replacing the old CHRA with new should save you a mint. (IF your snails are good)

    crack in moonroof

Safelite? Good luck. I know that there is a thread here about the rolling headliner for it costing $2,000 to be fixed - I imagine the glass would be the same.

^ And it was white? Well that is just very interesting...

    Old and Tired ST's

If I let it go? It's because I found something new to love and I think I'll get a fair return for it. Put it down? Viking funeral, or bury it with me. ;) Honestly, I feel that no car is at its end at 100K mi, except maybe supercars. What will likely happen? If my son matures enough, maybe...

    Old and Tired ST's

FYI what usually kills turbos besides idiots going 7-9K miles between oil changes? dead lines. Coolant lines, oil lines. They are usually rubber, which means oil kills them. So the oil line or one of the seals starts to fail because of the extreme heat, then oil starts eating the line from the...

    Old and Tired ST's

... The heads "needing" walnut shelled is probably someone being extremely anal. Yes, the cylinders are direct-injected which means fuel isn't passively cleaning some deposits, so catch cans are a really good idea, and yes, it can mean you have some buildup in the heads, but I don't think it...

    Old and Tired ST's

Right? 100K, you're barely at the timing belt maintenance. :ROFLMAO: At the "accepted yearly average" that would mean that all turbo cars are dead at 8.5yrs - that would be before 10yr extended powertrain warranties. No manufacturer would ever put themselves in that position. (Normal people do...
