What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Just took it for a drive and did some launches. There is zero NVH increase. The rearend definitely feels more stable and planted, even at light throttle and over bumps. Mine always felt a little soft in the rear and these helped. Full throttle at the 1-2 and 2-3 shift I always felt too much...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Just installed the Steeda Subframe Bushing Inserts. Super super easy install, just used my floor jacks. It can be done with the wheels on but it's much easier with them off. I helped my buddy do this same thing on his S550 Mustang and it was such a bitch on that car. But our Explorers have...

    Duplicate Post

The calipers are different (not just different colors) so the pads are definitely different.

    Rear Shocks

Rear shocks are $100 each. Once the wheel is off, it takes 20 minutes per side to replace. And that 20 minutes includes a trip to the fridge and figuring out what beer you want. Based on the price they're charging you, I'm assuming the guys at that dealer drink Bud Light. More Information...

    Brakes

Base brakes have 345mm front rotors, Street Pack have 363mm. Bust out the ruler if you're unsure. Also, the rear rotors on base brakes are solid and super narrow. Street Pack rear rotors are vented.

    Diff bolt

This doesn't surprise me at all. Looking at the video Steeda posted with how much the subframe moves during acceleration, I'm surprised these 1-bolts don't snap more.

    Steeda Subframe bushings

Went to a Ford Parts website, put in my VIN, and that's the cross member that came up.

    Steeda Subframe bushings

Just ordered these with that nice Labor Day pricing. Yes I'm stock power wise for now, but these seem like a no brainer at any power level. That subframe movement in the video is ridiculous. 2020 here, VIN check says I have the 5035-J subframe.

    New Sync 3 Version 3.4.22251

Hope yours stays working decent until the update! I was unlucky, mine shit the bed one day after the 22251 update.

    Ford Performance Tune

No, it's Goosetuned. He uses the Cobb Accessport and creates his own email tunes for it instead of their OTS maps. I didn't know ZFG tuned the 21+ F150s until now; I only thought he did 20 and older. Haven't seen him post on those Raptor forums; maybe he's on the regular F150 forums. I have...

    Ford Performance Tune

There were a bunch of people on the Gen 3 Raptor forums getting ready to blow their load about a rumor there would be a FP tune released. I directed them to this thread for entertainment purposes and to see the massive performance increase they'd expect. The Raptors also have an equivalent to...

aFe BladeRunner Aluminum Charge Pipe Kits

Kit looks nice, we all know AFE makes quality stuff. I do like that is keeps the factory BOV for us 2020 guys. I also would like to see a silver option.

    New Sync 3 Version 3.4.22251

Not to jinx you or anything, but my 2020 it 36150 miles when the 22251 shit hit the fan. About 1 week out of warranty. New APIM needed, Ford covered 80% of the $1500 bill, my dealer covered their $200 diagnostic fee, and I just paid $100. The dealer said they would cover the diagnostic fee as...

    New Sync 3 Version 3.4.22251

I just had my APIM replaced yesterday for all these same 22251 issues. My car was a few hundred miles past warranty when the issues popped up. Ford covered 80% of the $1500 bill. Service advisor said Ford knows of this issue and it's affecting all Sync 3 cars. APIM replacement is the only fix...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Service advisor said Ford knows about the 22251 issue and is working on it, but a new APIM is the only solution now.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

It's build 22251. I'll checl all the other versions. The service advisor knows about this issue, and knows 22251 is causing issues not just on Explorers. I have Auto Updates off, but hoping going to the new 23018 I've seen is ok.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Got my screen / Build 22251 issue fixed today. Dealer replaced the APIM. I'm out of warranty but I didn't have to pay too much. Build 22251 loaded at 36100 miles, by 36200 miles I was having all the issues. Dealer spoke with Ford, and they agreed to pay 80% of the $1500 charge. The dealer waived...

    Mustang mach e gt brembo

If you get the SRT Brembos, you just need the custom rotors from Racing Brake. If you want to use GT350 Brembos, you use factory GT350 rotors and get the adapter bracket from Tony Hernandez on Facebook/

    Mustang mach e gt brembo

No they won't fit. I'm not sure if they are the same as the GT Performance Pack 6P Brembos, but it has to do with mounting. The GT350 Brembos are radial mount (bolts through the top of caliper), so there is plenty of room to make an adapter bracket for the factory axial mount spindle and align...
