    Ford Performance Tune

Why would your wife decide to put 87 in? First time my wife filled up this Explorer, she asked "91, right?". Same with her Range Rover, "91, right?". It's not like she suddenly has an aneurism and gets confused from the 3 choices, or grabs the green diesel nozzle.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Must have been a design change. My bends are much closer to the Steeda logo. Haha I did the exact same thing! Thankfully it hit the floor, so no added time, just a minor 2 second heart attack.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

On Sunday I installed the Steeda springs and got an alignment at my local Ford dealer. Not super low, but just enough; very happy with the look now. The fronts were straight-forward struts, but thanks to @UNBROKEN and @Cdubya for their advice for unbolting the upper control arm on the rears...

    What Color is your ST?

Like the color but love the quarter window sticker!

    Thermal R&D 2.5" vs. 3"

No drone. No updates for install. No fault codes unless you're super incompetent and ruin something upstream during the install.

If I were asked to redesign the ST...

I'd like to see a more aggressive hood, or something with vents. Just simple ones like a SRT Grand Cherokee or Durango R/T. Also better brake options: the Street Pack should be standard, or better yet 4-piston Brembos optional/standard.

    ST Drivers...Male vs Female

I see about 10-15 different STs per day. It's about half and half. I'm the primary driver of ours.

    C&D Tests New 2023 Z06 ... WOW

For the price of an Escalade-V, I'd be in a GLS63 in a heartbeat. This Z06 is definitely awesome. Probably the last, great, new N/A V8 right here.

Need any advice I can get

It's not a rear strut brace, it's a differential brace. 2020 Explorers have 2 bolts into the back of the diff (plus the 2 up front) and 2021+ have only 1 in the back. There are 3 braces available that help locate the rear diff better, from $150 up to $600. Obviously, strength increases the...

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

There's not much difference. The stock one is actually lighter as it's thin as a beer can. I was able to fold it in half easily to trash it.

"Ben Wiren" YT Channel Takes Explorer ST-Line to Salt Flats For Top Speed Run

Pretty sure the truck in the video only hit 116 or so because it's the ST-Line, 2.3EB. Missing a few cylinders and about 100hp.

    No Front proximity sensors???

Well you have to turn on the camera when parking if you have proximity sensors or not. Simple button press. Just like the moaning about the Auto Stop/Start. Simple button press. Or just park by brail; drive until you hear or feel something.

    Back-up Camera Issues

Mine had the random blue screen since I got it. It got the recall when it came out and it was good for a while, then the blue screen started again. This was about 2 months ago, and the dealer said since I got the recall, the next step was a new backup camera. Been all good since then! My...

    Tune and Borla Stype exhaust

Any exhaust blowing fibers is a defect in that particular muffler or resonator. Has nothing to due with the tune.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

I got one of the nagging issues on my car fixed. I know some of you have had the driver's power window switch stop working correctly; where it won't auto up/down and goes back down to half way when it fully closes. I'd reset this and it would work fine for a few weeks then go back to being...

    Mishimoto Intercooler Install Issues/Observations

Being cast on the Mishimoto potentially makes it harder to fix. I understand production tolerances, but the plastic shroud probably has decently tight tolerances. Seems like a miss.

    Mishimoto Intercooler Install Issues/Observations

Looking at the CVFab, it's a sheet metal piece that gets bolted to the intercooler and slots into the plastic shroud. So if it didn't fit (the one install video I watch, the guy didn't mention it so I'm assuming it fit fine) you could easily bend it a bit to fit. Not like this cast Mishimoto tab.

Thermal 2.5 vs Borla Type S

Definitely zero drone on the Thermal 2.5. Very happy with it. Now if the Thermal 3.0 was available at the same time, I would have gone with that for the slightly deeper sound.

    Hood safety latch

The "No-Drill" ones are MRT. I normally liked them, and used MRT on every one of my previous Mustangs. But I didn't hear good things about them on the Explorers. I haven't added struts yet, but most seem to like the Redline ones; they require drilling but seem to be a better fit for these...
