    Old and Tired ST's

To be fair, it depends on what you do to a forced induction vehicle. I had a multi-owner 91 Nissan 300ZX with 150K+miles on it, and besides the normal maintenance items, nothing had been done for repair besides injectors. (notoriously bad) I pulled the motor ~140K due to the EGR valve and...

    White smoke?

I'm glad to hear it has not persisted.

    Old and Tired ST's

She's just mad because you made it less street-able and have to keep taking it from her to work on it. lol As for what to do with the ST when it's old? The same thing you do with any other performance vehicle. *shrug* It will still be an acceptable daily driver/parent-mobile, and mods, it...

    Code P051D

That's great news! Congratulations on your new (fully working) tune!

    White smoke?

.... Is the vehicle still putting out white smoke? YES: Not from the ignition cycling No: It was likely from the ingition cycling. You must have signaled an injector to dump some fuel into the cylinder while not combusting and it was exhaled on an exhaust stroke Turbos don't usually cause...

Certi2020 Ford explorer ST needs need motor

One thing I will note is not being able to trust Ford with shit like this. I had a Ford Fusion Energi that started knocking. The dealer had done an oil change and messed up at less than 20k miles on it. I said "So, with rod(s) knocking, you're replacing the engine, right? (short block)" They...

Certi2020 Ford explorer ST needs need motor

Was there any smoke anywhere? This sounds crazy. If you have the dealership changing oil, and it was not in the last day or so, they couldnt have forgotten to put in the oil. If not in your driveway, or in a parking spot you were in, where did it go? - Do you see oil streams/coating on any...

Dings, clicks and other small issues.

I imagine these clicks are being caused by the system detecting the keyfob. Maybe we could test that by simply not having our key in proximity. It is kind of silly for relays to be clicking all the time. (It makes me think that the ECU goes into "sleep" then wakes every once in a while, which...

    White smoke?

What kind of white smoke? That is to say, did it smell like coolant, or FUEL? If fuel got dumped into the cylinder, a coil pack didnt fire, the ECU went too rich, etc, thatd give the result. (When Fuel gets tossed right into the exhaust it will be white)

    Installation Question

OK, let's get inventive. Use Ceiling bike hooks over your bed. If you couple them together, mount a poster of Sydney Sweeney (or other hot person) onto the QL's and have them hooked up, then you can press the button and bring them closer to you! :ROFLMAO: (Sorry, it popped into my head and then...

Driver seat not reclining 2020 explorer

I found this out in the wild. https://www.explorerforum.com/forums/threads/driver-seat-wont-lay-back.496851/post-3924208 That person did some things and got temporary comfort. Apparently this has to do with the saved memory presets feature, and can also be tangled up in multi-keyfob-saved...

Wifi Workorder Never Submitted? 2023 Explorer ST

That is a shame. I know there were issues like that, where say the 2nd row temp controls were 'deleted' from the shortage, but they called people in to install them later. I wonder if they would be willing to do that now?

    Never noticed this before??

Weird. I have a white tri-coat, I'll go outside and look tomorrow

Driver seat not reclining 2020 explorer

This is weird because it sounds like a position-sensing/tracking error. Something has to denote the seat is at its limits. (A switch, a position on its track, a rotary sensor, etc). If the motor were broken, it wouldn't work. If there is a dead spot in the winding of the motor, you both wouldn't...

    Sport mode screen always on?

Hey, welcome to the forum! Alas - that is the dream. In a world where the instrument panel is fully digital, and the system is already setup with a better informed cluster... we cannot do that. I await correction, but I have looked around here for that same thing. Ford, and all manufacturers...

New to me '20 Explorer ST

I ordered the charge pipes today because they are on sale at Lethal Performance, or aFe's website. (I went to Lethal) The push bar is definitely something that makes me think "hmm" :devilish:

    Sun Roof Fabric Issue

From Ford themselves: https://parts.ford.com/shop/en/us/body/other-trim-parts/sunroof-cover-sliding-roof-sunshade-panel-p-lb5z78519a02ab?pdp=y It looks like there are not clips at all? Is it just that the roller has tabs at the end and inserts onto the track mechanism? If that's the case...

    Installation Question

The good thing about the QL would be that you could hang it somewhere, so you don't need floor space.
