What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Check www.ford.com, click on Explorer. Or check your window sticker and see which options your truck cam with. You'll find your answer.

    aFe Momentum GT CAI

I had to use the rain covers on my filter on my old Boss 302. Had the Cobra Jet manifold and CAI, with an open filter right below the factory hood vent. Didn't even think about it until it was sitting at work during some rain. It started, but immediately misfired and was in limp mode going...

    ST's are like buses...

I see at least 10 STs every day. They're far more common by me than any other trim. Hell, I see me Aviators than XLT/Limited/Platinum Explorers!

    Stupid NC Tint Laws

How strict are your local police on tint?

    Ford Performance Tune

The Bronco Raptor motor isn't just getting a tune relative to our motors. It has different turbos and looks like a different intake manifold.

    What more do I need?

    One of the lucky ones!

    What more do I need?

You won't need the TS BOV. They only were on 2020s. To get a BOV, you need to get a FenFab Charge Pipe with a BOV.

Happy New ST Owner with a question

There is no RTR package for the Explorer. Those are RTR Tech 5 wheels, 20x9.5, same as on mine (see pic below). They are technically S550 Mustang wheels. And then previous owner slapped a RTR badge on the hatch. You can get a new center cap at rtrvehicles.com; it's the matte one. Most...

Forscan fog light as cornering light enabled

I haven't tried any Forscan stuff yet, but my old Benz SLK55 did the same thing. The headlights were LED but not the active ones, so whenever you turned the wheel, or the turn signal, the fog light would light up on that side.

Tire options for the ST 21’s

I have 285/50-20 Pirelli Scorpions, and those are 31.2, and I have plenty of clearance. I think most of the guys running 22x10.5 wheels here are close on width, but actually shorter in height.

3rd row power options to replace aux power / wireless charger

My wife's iPhone 12 charges pretty slowly, and gets the Misaligned error message often. She does have a thicker case on it, and I think the ridge around the camera causes it. My Galaxy S9 has no issues, never got the error no matter how I drop it against the pad, charges fast, and doesn't get...

    Thoughts on a front Spoiler/Splitter??

Less judgmental and possibly be less sarcastic on the internet? Where's the fun in that? I don't shitpost like that too much, but if I'm being a jerk like that online, I fully expect people to be jerks back. I won't take it as a personal attack. I'm all for dress-ups to personalize your car...

    Brake Caliper Covers

Caliper covers are only good for telling the world you need to be placed in a conservatorship because if you would willingly spend any amount of money on something like that, you shouldn't be in control of your finances. Caliper covers are for pretending you have higher performance brakes...

    Mishimoto's Performance Intercooler R&D Thread

@Mishimoto what quarter in 2022 do you expect this to release? And will you offer upgraded charge pipes?

Voodoo just dropped a intercooler w/BOV and intake?

I called Voodoo a bit ago, just to get quotes on a Whipple IC install. I asked about this setup and they said it is available but would be built to order. So it sounds like it's available if you're here in Orange County.

Steeda tower brace and sway bar. Need advice.

Installed my Steeda sway bar a few weeks ago, amazing upgrade as everyone has said, it's a must-have for even stock STs. Anyway, not sure if anyone else experienced this same issue, but I had a nasty creaking noise when just taking off from a stop and going up driveways. But never at above...

    RWD ST

I wouldn't expect a higher trap with the RWD. The Explorer cuts power to the front wheels at a certain speed, so there's less drag when the front wheel traction isn't needed.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Minor detail stuff today. I always disliked the mismatched hardware with the Steeda Strut Brace (new bolts in front, factory Ford bolts in rear) so I bought all titanium bolts from Acer Racing, M8x35 for the rear, M8x45 to replace the Steeda bolts, then a set of black-coated stainless steel...

    Rear end damage

Agreed. But this issue is Ford Performance is always at odds with Ford and this being just an Explorer. I know Ford has always been a little tight with the purse strings, but their last CEO, that goober from an office furniture company, really screwed them up as far as quality and vendor...
