What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Finally got around to installing the Steeda RSB. Super easy when you can just pop the mufflers off! This one definitely passed through QC as the centering washers are perfect, there's no movement allowed side to side. My 3 year old joined me near the end. He tightened all the heat shield bolts...

400 HP option for 2022 Kings Ranch and Platinums

I'd look at the available data: how many people have had blown engines or warranty issues due to their tune from ZFG vs how many people complained about pinging (not great for the motor) and general crappiness of the FP tune on their Coyote Mustang or any other car their turd tune was available...

400 HP option for 2022 Kings Ranch and Platinums

Anyone still talking about a possible FP tune for this car has obviously never talked to someone who got the "awesome" FP tune for a Coyote Mustang (they pinged more than a table-tennis match) or read the 1323899231782432 threads on this forum and Facebook talking about currently available...

    Rear end damage

Ugh, tell me about it. Thankfully, where I live in Rancho Santa Margarita (southern Orange County) is pretty red. Plenty of Trump/FJB/Let's Go Brandon signs and flags out. I hope eventually this will make it's way to Sacramento. Wishful thinking...

Explorer ST needed for R&D in Vista CA

Any hints on the parts being developed?

Rattling noise coming from underneath new Explorer ST!

I have this same shudder. When off the gas and coasting at 40 or below I get a rumble or shudder. Goes away when I hit the brake pedal. This has been there since about 1000 miles and didn't change at all with the Thermal exhaust/midpipes. Anything anyone recommends checking out? It's weird...

Steeda tower brace and sway bar. Need advice.

He meant the sway bar. You, I'm guessing, meant the strut brace. Brace is wrinkle black.

    Well this is interesting

This is exactly why I got the captains chairs. A 3 year old and 6 month old.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Installed the Steeda strut tower brace. No more fat, flimsy, stamped factory trash. Hopefully do the rear sway bar next week.

So what's the consensus on floor lines..

I actually haven't gotten the Smartliners yet. I still want to replace the WeatherTech up front, but they're ok for now. They haven't gotten any worse than the initial warp. 2nd and 3rd row are still perfect. I wish I could find rubber mats that are as awesome as the factory ones in my wife's...

2022 Ford Explorer Adds the ST's 400-HP V-6 to More Trims

What exclusivity? If Ford got a million orders for STs, they'd build them. I see at least 10 other STs per day by me. Nothing exclusive about an Explorer. Just makes sense to not bother with multiple engine calibrations, saves money on emissions testing and such. Spreading the engine out...

    Driver's Side Window Issue

Mine did this after I got tint installed. Did what the video said it was all good.

    Cold Air Intake status?

Not sure if anyone was concerned, or I'm just answering my own question, but I called AFE this morning to ask about the note that they won't sell in California. He said they would absolutely sell and ship to California, and that CARB certification was in progress. And for the guys complaining...

    Cold Air Intake status?

Looks great, was ready to pre-order, then saw the note about not selling in California! They are just a few miles from my in-laws in Corona. I'll have to stop and and see if I can get it there, or have it shipped to my buddy in Scottsdale.

ZFG: I guess I'm a fanboy now too

Haha! I wish the tune was only $26.

What Have You Done To Your Explorer ST Today

Installed the Thermal R&D catback. What a great upgrade. System is well made and basically fell into place. I saw one comment about the kit being an "erector set". I'm not sure what is expected, there's 2 midpipes, a resonator, 2 connecting pipes, and 2 mufflers, and everything only fits one...

ZFG: I guess I'm a fanboy now too

You know, none of this is helping with the wait. Feeling like Tom Petty over here. It's my time to buy from ZFG but I'm just waiting on the California approval. :(

So what's the consensus on floor lines..

I'm happy with my WeatherTechs in the 2nd and 3rd row. Not with the first. They seem to be warping already and not fit that great. 2nd and 3rd row fit perfectly. I'll be trying the Smartliners for the 1st row, they look to be a good price.

Aftermarket Tune Rankings and issues you may have had.

You have to get on the waitlist for ZFG. They will email you when it is your turn to order. They use datalogging and there is some back and forth, that is why he is only allowing a few people at a time to order. AO = Auto octane, will adjust for bad or shit gas. AO w/IC = Auto octane but you...

    Cold Air Intake status?

Excited for this. Haven't used any personally but I know the AFE products my buddy's have used are great. I will definitely be grabbing this for the looks. The extra couple HP is even better! And since I'm delayed waiting for ZFG to get California approval, I could probably have this on first...
