    ST to Platinum Suspension Change

The Platinum uses a 21" wheel different from the ST and uses the same exact tire as the ST with 21" wheels. Early Platinums used basically the same wheel, just that it was chrome.

    21 ST Vibration and noise

As you mentioned, you may want to contact the previous owner. The dealership will have their information. I have traded in a vehicle and received a call from a potential buyer. Tell them you want it for a peace of mind.

2025 Explorer ST - Keypad question

Y Yup, I am one of those that love the door keypad. I use it exclusively.

    2022 Tires Worn Already?

Not to change the subject too much, but do we all remember why every vehicle is now required to have a TPMS? Yes, because of what happened with Ford Explorers and the Firestone tires. Unfortunately this system only alerts you when your tires are under inflated as this becomes a safety hazard...

    2022 Tires Worn Already?

Now would really be the ideal time to rotate your tires if you want them all to be worn evenly. The back wear out much quicker. Also keep your tires at the recommended pressure. Keeping them at a higher pressure may save a smidgen of fuel, but will wear them out much faster.

    Buying a 2021 ST

Good luck. That is crazy low mileage. Be sure to have an independent mechanic look it over or at the very least run a Carfax report on it.

    Fuel Inlet Issue

You were right, both codes have appeared now.

Explorer lunging at high speed while parking

The issue I am still having with this whole thing is that my ST will apply the brakes and flash a warning on my dash before I hit something. Michelle, did this happen in this situation?

    Dangerous?

Although not likely done by many, it is also recommended to retorque the lugs after about 20 miles of driving.

    Rotors

No, seriously. If you drive normally and not a lot of city driving you should be able to go 80k - 100k miles.

Explorer lunging at high speed while parking

What you seem to be describing is the auto hold feature. When you come to a stop the brakes will stay applied even when you take your foot off the brake pedal. You then have to push the gas pedal to begin moving again. There is a chance you pushed down too hard to get moving again? Also, if...

    K&N Oil Filter

I have this one. I have a platform that is about a foot in height that I set it on. After extraction I add 6 quarts to bring it to full. You may want to add 5 quarts and check the level, just in case. EWK 6.5L Manual Oil Extractor Change Pump for Automotive Fluids Vacuum Evacuation Manual Oil...

    K&N Oil Filter

I even use Walmart brand from time to time, which may also be true bottom barrel, but they have been tested to meet OEM quality. I only use Mobil 1 ESP oil in my vehicles.

    K&N Oil Filter

I really like K&N oil filters, especially the ones for my car that can be loosened with a 1" socket, but the cost of these filters for either of my vehicles has increased to beyond what I am willing to pay, even with 10K mile oil change intervals.

    Fuel Inlet Issue

Okay, so even FordPass indicates that this is an emissions issue. I am at 79K miles and ask dealer to fix under the 80k emissions warranty. This dealer has come through for me before, but told me today that I had to pay out pocket, about $600. I said no thanks.

    Fuel Inlet Issue

Yes, thank you. I reviewed that thread and it seems that was for a different code though.

    Fuel Inlet Issue

Yes, it was as ehouse98 mentioned, P0456.

    Fuel Inlet Issue

Need some advice for possible fuel inlet issue. Check engine light came on about a week ago and FordPass indicated it was an emissions issue and recommended checking the the fuel inlet. It explains that the typical fix is to put the fuel funnel in and out of the fuel inlet a few times. I did...

    Ford pass app

I have not done the update yet, but mine seems to only update the location when the vehicle shuts off and turns back on, such as at a red light or stop sign.

    SSM 52484 Keypad time out

Appreciate this update as again my key fob has only been out of its place a few times since 2020. Really only taken out as the service dept required the key in their hands to perform warranty repairs. I will get with my dealer on this tsb. Is there any concern that this update could cause a...
