    Rear Brake Failure

What year and how many miles are on your Explorer? Loaner vehicles are covered under warranty if dealer has to keep vehicle more than a day. Trust me, I know from experience. The problem is if you are far away you will likely have to return the loaner when vehicle repairs are completed. A good...

    Rear Brake Failure

Should be under warranty. You are going to need a caliper, rotor, and brake pads. Cost will add up quickly if you go to another shop. Really depends on how much time you have. Changing over to performance brakes is not really practical at this point if you are on a trip.

    P0068 While Towing

Any chance it could be the throttle body? This sounds similar to what my ST did and had to be towed to the dealer. They said the issue disappeared the next morning, but then drove it for about an hour and then lost all power. They replaced the throttle body and all has been fine since.

Rattling noise coming from underneath new Explorer ST!

On my 2020, just had my left side catalytic converter and flex pipe replaced under warranty. My rattle is gone for now. On the new flex pipe the flex section of the pipe has been moved closer to cat converter. I was thinking this was either a design change or the tech was able to make a right...

    Roof Rail is fading

MY2020 has much nicer roof rails. After that year Ford saved a few dollars by putting the the base model Explorer roof rails on the ST.

Considering Trading My F150 For An ST

I just received a letter from Ford today informing me that they will replace the 7 window switches under warranty for up to 10 years/150K miles. I may have one that needs replacing on my 2020.

    School Me On Winter Tires

My thoughts are to stay with the factory wheels and go with something like a Pirelli Scorpion WeatherActive or Toyo Celsius Sport.

    Forscan Issue with Driver Window

Great video. I would try that first and whatever the manual says to do. Next I would try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to see if it resets the window. If all else fails, you may need to remove door panel to see what might be causing it bind up.

Ride quality difference switching from Street pack 21" wheels and tires to OEM 20" wheels and tires?

I have driven ST's with both wheel sizes and didn't notice a difference. If you are willing to pay the price, go with a higher end 21" tire, such as a Michelin and you may see some improvement.

High Mileage Explorer STs check in!

52K on my 2020. Just had the left side catalytic converter replaced for the second time and also the left side flex pipe replaced. Wife is pleased that rattle is gone. Also had throttle body replaced and sensor on front axle replaced early on. Also driver's seat bottom trim moulding replaced a...

FS 2022 20" OEM Wheels for Sale

Market price is closer to $1000, even though new replacement would set you back about $3000.

Red Lens Rear Reflector Bumper Replacements

I like the appearance of these, but question whether or not they would be legal, as you may lose the rear reflectors that are required by law, such that if you have no functional rear lights then the reflectors would still be visible at night when headlights shine on them.

Dealer and PremiumCare saying rattling flex pipes no longer being covered under warranty

Dealer replaced left side catalytic converter (replaced once before) along with left flex pipe today. Both replaced under warranty at 52K miles. Repair bill was $1700 to Ford.

    Oil change

Just add the other half quart to take you to the full mark.

    Active Braking is DANGEROUS!

Same here, and I am probably guilty of following to closely at times. I don't mind the alarm and active braking, just in case.

    Exactly how I change mine.

    Welcome to the 50K club

At 51K miles and dealer has the 2 flex pipes and one catalytic converter on order. Left side cat has already been replaced once. I am hoping this will be the last of the fixes and looking forward to many more years with the ST.

Make sure you text drive very thorough before signing any paperwork. I’ve got a 2023 explorer st fully loaded, disappointed with a few things for sure

Hit the pedal and you will forget about all those minor annoyances. Be sure to check the air pressure in your tires, many new vehicles come from the factory with overinflated tires, which can bring out sounds in the suspension when hitting bumps and such.

Stick it out with ST, or call it?

If you call Ford Customer Service they will explain this to you and also they will contact your dealer without hesitation if you let them know the dealer is balking on the loaner. They did tell me that worse case scenario I would need to rent a vehicle on my own and Ford would reimburse me. When...
