Vehicle Status Update - bit of reading

I finally was able to pick up my vehicle today, however as I was looking at the car with the advisor he popped the hood and first things I noticed was the prop rod dangling because they didn't install the clip again (not the end of the world as I have hood struts) but there are also 2 missing...

Vehicle Status Update - bit of reading

Well as of today I still don't have my vehicle back, however the dealership today said I will have it back tomorrow (I won't be holding my breath). Going on 3.5 months of my vehicle being at the dealer now.

    Consumer Report on Explorers

Correct, my vehicle is still at the dealer as of today, I was told late last week I should have it back mid-week this week (but I've heard that before as well)

Did I see another ST today or not? (Lancaster Ca)

I don't think stating that YOU have a ST was needed with this, just because it's possible to debadge a vehicle doesn't mean that everyone does it and that's the only possibility. https://www.autoblog.com/photos/2022-ford-explorer-st-line/#slide-2343755 has photos of the ST line which does NOT...

    Consumer Report on Explorers

Would you mind giving some details as to what they found, I would be interested to know if you experienced the same thing as me since mine is getting a new engine as well. For mine there isn't even a root cause.

Did I see another ST today or not? (Lancaster Ca)

I could be wrong, but that could have just be one of the lower models with the "ST-line" package. It's all for looks on those ones.

    Consumer Report on Explorers

I liked my ST for almost a year of ownership until problems started, I still don't have my vehicle back yet after 3 full months now. I'll never own another new Ford again at this point, I'm not even holding my breath of getting my vehicle back next week as stated by the dealer recently (they...

Vehicle Status Update - bit of reading

I heard from the dealer yesterday that the engine should "be in any day now", with any luck maybe I'll have my vehicle back next week some time

Once I have it back I'll post an update, and try to do another after a bit of time as well

Vehicle Status Update - bit of reading

The last time I posted it was asking about the smell coming into the vehicle and was finally able to get the vehicle into the dealership on Feb 4th, 2022. I brought the vehicle in for a few things, drivers seat noise, sulfuric smell, and valvetrain noise. The dealer replaced the rails for the...

    Ebay splash guard review

So mine have held up fine, although they don't go through hell where I live. I mean at least they were in good shape when I took my vehicle in to the dealer almost 6 weeks ago, and last saw it.

    Rear end damage

My guess would be no. This isn't a recall so they have no obligation to correct it if you aren't under warranty.

    Gas splash back when refueling?

I had a similar issue where the pump would keep clicking off during fill up. It was actually a software update for some valve that fixed it for me. Never did I think that would be a software update!

Speedo won't center when turning off lane assist

it's been a while since I've used it, but pretty sure you need to make sure cruise control is off too, it's not only with lane assist

Driver seat clicking noise and loose leather

Do you have any information on the TSB? I had one done for the seat like 2 months ago and all they do is put some heater hose on with some clamps. It only helped with the seat moving side to side. Didn't help at all for the clicking and other noises the seat makes.

I can tell you from experience... Not well at all in the Phoenix summer heat! hahaha. The IC is a worth while upgrade.
