    Motorized grinding sound when approaching

Parking brake engagement sounds like you're slowly letting the air out of a balloon. I heard it today when I put the front up on ramps in the garage & had the drivers window open. Strangest sound yet from the ST.

    Oil change schedule

According to the service advisor at the local dealer, Ford says every 7500 miles... I guess that's assuming you're running the good stuff.

Do it, the stock plug is a real Mickey Mouse crapshoot. Ronin plug has a better retainer system owing to the detent at the end of the slots that the stocker doesn't have.

They have two black ones. One is RWD & only has the shifter dial on the console, no mode dial... The red ST Line was AWD & had both dials. They were all one-bolters. There was a REALLY nice Expedition LTD in that red...

Oil & filter (& O rings) change at 9997 miles. Mobil 1 & Wix WL10050. What a PITA that was. It will be easier next time. Sliced a finger open on the edge of the goddamn crossmember. Detailed under the hood while I was in the area... Installed a doodad...

Checked the ground clearance when it's on the ramps for an oil change. It just short of 15in at the cross member, plenty of room for me to get under there.

Is anyone running oil other than 5-30?

I wouldn't trust any of the Ford dealers with 100 miles of here to correctly tell me what time it is.

    I'll take that as a "nope" ;)

Am I the only one who hates the Adaptive Cruise?

The best feature is being able to turn it off & not use it.

Did I just buy a fake Wix oil filter?

I thought they had black rubber end caps? Says Made in Brazil on the box...

Is anyone running oil other than 5-30?

I know a lot of the LR guys run 5-40 in warmer climates instead of 5-30. Camaro says 5-30, usually gets 10-30 SB Honda says 5-20 but is MUCH smoother running on 10-30 & may actually have 10-40 in it right now. (almost 200K miles) Location is Mojave Desert so it's HOT.

    Chrome on window switches

It's not actually chrome. It's vacuum metalized aluminum. Process has been around for at least 50 years. https://www.vacuum-metalizing.com/what-is-vacuum-metalizing/
