Exactly. Regardless of how the sound was found (through the installation of aftermarket stiffeners) the sound indicates a failure of a warranted part. In my opinion, its kind of screwy that the OEM condition/parts mask an indicator (sound) of a potential failure. Good thing the JBX stiffeners...

The car was running on a lift to identify the source of the grinding sound. I just saw a failure of the Steeda front pinion bushing on social media. I assume this is what you're referring to? @2020FordRaptor Do you have experience with these failing?

    Steeda Subframe bushings

Just saw a failure on social media. Anyone else having this issue?

There are examples in this thread of no additional NVH after JXB install. There also is a difference between NVH and grinding. The grinding is audible while the car is on a lift.

A bad pinion bearing is a bad pinion bearing. Right?

So, took it to a reputable tire shop and they confirmed irregular wear pattern to the inside tread on all four tires (sawtooth type wear pattern). The tire shop's theory was bad shocks caused the wear. I recently replaced all 4 shocks, so it shouldn't happen again. Purchased 295 40 R21...

Dealer said tires are cupped and they cannot/will not diagnose any other issues until tires are replaced

And, the funny thing is, all of the parts you installed are to compensate for Ford's poor design! They should be thanking us "aftermarket" folks for extending the longevity of Ford's product.

I'm still waiting to hear back from the dealer. I'll post their response. I'm sure it will help you with your decision.

Exactly. My terrible choice to install aftermarket simply identified (another) longevity issue with Ford parts. Had I not installed aftermarket parts, how would I have found out that the pinion bearing is going bad a 60k miles...riddle me that???

JXB inserts are great. That said... Just dropped my ST off at dealer to have the pinion bearing noise diagnosed and (hopefully) replaced under my ESP. The associate already started dropping the enviable bulls**t of "aftermarket bushings and bolts change pinion angle"...

JXB rear differential bushing inserts and carrier bearing support upgrades IN STOCK now @whoosh motorsports

Installed the inserts and did have increased NVH but found it was caused by worn pinion bearing that was not noticeable with the un-reinforced/soft OEM bushings. This is an issue found by several individuals who installed the JXB. Not the fault of JXB! Great product and easy install! Highly...

Is there a reason to replace the entire diff vs just replacing the pinion bearing?

No diff brace, only Steeda pinion bushings kit and all 4 bolts are the Whoosh upgraded hardware.

Exactly! What year is your ST? Single bolt or double bolt rear carrier?

Just installed mine this weekend. I noticed more planted shifts. I also noticed more noise from the diff, especially when there is slack in the power (letting off the accelerator while moving). Sounds like a dull grinding or a very deep hum. Anyone else notice increased NVH? Should I be concerned?

    Jacking procedure?

    I'm wondering the same thing...
