Class Action vs. Ford Initiated (Rear Subframe)

Agree with the counterpoint and not saying that the hypothetical Ford argument makes sense. Was just putting it out there. Good to see folks poking pins in that thought ballon. Hopefully a jury would follow similar logic.

Class Action vs. Ford Initiated (Rear Subframe)

Good question. If some percentage of interceptors did get the 3 bolt frame and they were replaced, I can see Ford dismissing the issue by saying that because of the nature of the job, there is more stress put on the bolts of an interceptor that wouldn’t occur under “normal use“ of the civilian...

Class Action vs. Ford Initiated (Rear Subframe)

Will be interesting to see how this plays out. Lots of conjecture about what Ford knew and when they knew it. However, the fact that the three named plaintiffs in the suit did not have a failure of the bolt but only had the e-brake fix and remained concerned about the potential of failure and...

    HD Radio Station Logo Missing

When things like this happen or features that were on earlier models vanish with each new model year, I always tell myself:“Oh well, that’s Ford for you.” There is no rhyme or reason for things beyond bean counters trying to cut costs.

The best diff brace money can buy.

That would be my thinking as well but since the instructions seem to indicate otherwise, i was wondering what others have done as well as if there was a reason not to put anti-seize specifically on the cover bolts. Thanks for the feedback. While the product is very good, I have to say that the...

The best diff brace money can buy.

Am finally getting around to installing the ID Speed brace now that the weather here is more conducive to crawling under the vehicle and had a question about using anti-seize compound on the bolts. The instructions seem to indicate only using it on the bolts holding the bushing but not those on...

rear swaybar comparison AFE vs Steeda?

Not to put words into @2020FordRaptor’s mouth but I took their comment to be about getting a ride in a PIU (I.e. getting arrested) as opposed to getting an ST to handle like a Cobra. In any case, thanks for the insight on the suspension similarities/differences between the PIU and ST...

    Ford Performance Tune

Thanks for sharing. Interesting to see that running e30 on the FP tune does net you some gains as there’s been some discussion that it wouldn't. Also found this video they did about how different brands of gasoline may impact your engine output an interesting watch. Although there is some...

rear swaybar comparison AFE vs Steeda?

Yep, I had mine done and it cost $25 extra and had to wait until they were doing blue powder coating of other parts but it was only a week delay. The extra cost may have changed since I had ordered. So not too bad but as others have said, you need to talk with them to get the change done.

rear swaybar comparison AFE vs Steeda?

Great news. Must have overlooked the announcement. So thanks for letting me know and I’ll keep an eye out for it on the Steeda site.

rear swaybar comparison AFE vs Steeda?

Now if Steeda would come up with a front sway bar upgrade or AFE would offer theirs in blue. Hate mixing colors and the springs and rear sway bar are Steeda blue. :ROFLMAO:

    New ST Owner, Bad Luck

Yep. I’ve had four different Explorers and all have had the towing package. Not because I tow a bunch but for the ability of the hitch to absorb a rear end impact. I’ve had it happen to me twice while sitting in traffic and in both cases it minimized the damage to my vehicle but took out the...

How-to: Front climate control swap(add 20-21 temp display to 22+)

Went in and checked in Forscan and it did have the DTC code for the HVAC Module and oddly one in the Audio module which is probably related to my getting rid of the FEGN. Neither DTC indicated that it would set off the Check Engine Light, so I’m fine living with them. It will be interesting to...

    Heated wheel temp

For those who have Forscan and want to adjust the temp, the setting can be found in the SCCM module. The default (or at least what mine was set at from the factory) is 35C. I dropped mine down a few degrees as it felt a bit too hot to me.

    After Recal of Rear Axel

Be sure to check and see which sub frame they plan on installing (if it is required) as it seems that some people have gotten the four bolt during the rebuild and others only received a replacement of the three bolt that came with the vehicle. If they plan on only putting a three bolt back in...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Yep but as TMac said earlier in the thread, the fact that the 2023 ST’s are coming off the line with the four bolt sub frames is a mea culpa by Ford that the three bolt was a mistake. As much as I think that anyone who had the failure occur should contact the NHTSA and file a complaint that the...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Unbelievable that Ford would stick to their guns and only allow a replacement with the one bolt sub frame when they are now shipping 2023 models with the proper 2 bolt one. Would seem like a no brainer to put the more structurally sound part in when given the chance. It’s like they just don’t...

How-to: Front climate control swap(add 20-21 temp display to 22+)

I believe that everyone posting here that they made the swap used Forscan (myself included). i’ve seen some folks over in the F-150 forums say they made similar swaps without using Forscan but most of the folks there used Forscan. So it might be possible but it’s less risky to do the swap...

Safety Recall 22S27 Rear Axle Bolt Fractures

Yeah I know that it’s covered under the recall. I just found it funny that the dealer would invoke a possible break as being a warranty issue. Which makes me worried that they don’t know what is covered under the recall aside from having to flash the system to kick on the e-brake when you...
